The Woodspring Wings Model Aircraft Show has been a regular fixture on the flying calendar since shortly after the club began in 1989. It has since grown to be the biggest model aircraft show in the South West, and attracts around 5000 visitors each year. Held over two days on the second weekend in July, the show features all-day model flying displays by some of the country’s top pilots and a good selection of traders . In recent years we have also enjoyed fly pasts by the BBMF Lancaster, the Red Arrows and the BBMF Spitfire, something we hope to continue every year.

Located near Yatton in the Somerset Levels, Woodspring Wings is ideally placed to run a show of this size and popularity. The club owns a total of 21 acres of land including the flying field itself and adjacent fields meaning ample space for the event and plenty of free parking on site. It's a great setting to sit and watch some wonderful models in

Great food and drink is available at the foodcourt, operated by our partners Alfresco and the bar serves throughout the day with several good brews on tap. You can now buy tickets in advance for both the show entry and the camping at discount rates. https://buytickets.at/woodspringwings/620138

14th March update:

The club has for many years hosted it’s popular model airshow at the club’s site near Yatton, due

this year on July 9th and 10th, which is enjoyed by many local families as well as people from further

afield. Every year, when the show has made a profit, a donation is made to deserving causes, mainly

local. This year with the tragedy unfolding in the Ukraine the club has decided to donate half of its

funds , £500, to the DEC Ukraine fund helping the refugees from the conflict. We felt, like many

others, we ought to do something to help the people so badly affected and very much hope it will.

We will announce the local charity benefitting shortly.
