  1. Might be worth giving our plans service a call Peter, assuming it's one of ours? 01296 730691 David.
  2. In the July issue editorial we've been deliberating on the trend towards electric flight as Graham and I noticed that (seemingly all of a sudden) that our club flightline one Sunday was almost exclusively electric. What's your flightline doing?
  3. Have you tried the plans service Alan ? 01296 730691 David.
  4. Have you seen the extra pics in the gallery Garry?
  5. Bodger We've been waiting for the pics from Alex and they've just arrived, have a look tomorrow and they should be on the RCM&E gallery. Sorry for the delay David.
  6. Jon I understand about 800 or so kits hit Europe (not many) and a few did arrive in the UK but have probably filled back-orders. More on the way but have a ring around to see if any of the first batch are still around. SMC perhaps? David, sorry I don't know, we dont get involved in subs at all in the ed' team but of course try to help where we can. I'll see what our people can tell us and get back to you. David.
  7. Hmm, tough one Jon ...you'd be spoilt for choice on the ARTF route but can't blame you for wanting to make your own - much better except it restricts choice in this day and age. You've chosen two good ones yourself, possibly an Acro Wot too? Chris Foss should be launching the Mk2 Acro Wott soon. Can't go wrong with a pattern ship, I've flown the Fellowship this last year and although it's not in the same league as the Loaded Dice, it's precicse, smooth and very satisfying to fly.
  8. We find 'sir' is best..... :-)
  9. That's Nijuis electric B17, no it's not on the plans website - some of the more recent plans have still to go on there. Ring the plans dept on 01296 730691.
  10. Pogostick was the free plan in the May issue Willow, yes.
  11. Welcome aboard Neil Best to give our plans service a call on 01296 730691and they can see if we have them, or check on line. David
  12. Hang on you're not THE Cactus... are you ? from RCMF ? ;-)
  13. A forum is what the participants make it, simple as that and so far I'm pleased to say that this RCM&E forum is superb with just the right balance of humour and help. Well done folks.
  14. Thanks Scott, that's interesting, yes she's not cheap. David.
  15. Good find Chris, I'd snap it up if I found one. Book wise, I'd say just keep reading the mag's. I've found the best way is just to get stuck in and the more electric models you build the greater the understanding. Trouble with books is that they date so quickly. The ezonemag.com is superb too.
  16. 4000!!! good grief Mike. If that was me I wouldn't need furniture, I sit up at the table on a pile of mags! You could prop up your workbench with them too..
  17. Jim It's best to play safe, the model may well be ok balanced with the tank full BUT ....better to have it slightly nose heavy until you know how it flies, balance with an empty tank then adjust as necessary a few flights down the line.
  18. You did well to get one of those Chris, I havn't seen one for years now. Graham had one and liked it a lot, it flew well. If I saw one I'd snap it up as they were a nice model. It was designed in pre li-po days but a 2S pack with the brushed motor will do well but if you can upgrade the motor then she'll be superb with a 3S pack. Li-po's will keep the weight down too. Best to get a programmable ESC with the brushed motor so you don't overdischarge the pack. The 50amp ESC you have is plenty sufficient ( a speed 400 will draw up to about 15 amps) but is it a brushed or brushless unit? David.
  19. Yup, they do look sweet those CX2's.
  20. Dave I went to the Paul Heckles school for one of their jet days, very impressed. I learnt a lot, they instill a lot of confidence in pupils and not just about jets. Paul does basic tutoring through to turbine heli's so he worth looking up. David
