  1. Windsor models 1982 Stampe was a lot cheaper back in the day
  2. Nearly completed, Ive replaced all the rigging wires just need to paint the wing when the weather warms up a bit Drill the cowl for nylon inserts Hopefully this will eliminate the Cowl coming loose
  3. Have done a paint test area to check and it’s looking promising
  4. Bit of overkill on the servo setup the wood will break before the control system fails IMG_0179.MOV

  7. Popped out to the garage fires up the computer and found the Stampe rib tap file and did a test Game on now to cut the wood
  8. Having removed the rudder horn or what ever it’s called, reviled that it was in good order and not been hacked about, apart from one niggle, the nuts were the wrong size for the thread goin a closed loop anyway so it will be replaced
  9. I’ve had a look at the elevator horn and came up with this I was planning to have something bolted all the way through But think this will be ok with the correct glue an some side pinning What do you chaps think

  11. The elevator suffered from a poor Snake installation, I’m going to make this one push rod 6mm carbon tube and 3mm treaded rod once made I shall fit the lock nut and some heat shrink over the rod
  12. PLM lower wing ready for paint Hmmm paint wasn’t cheap £45 for two rattle cans
  13. Depends on quantity, I still also cut ribs by various Old school Methods, Doing the CAD is a slow process for me The machines Can reduce the need for semi decent hand skills, so a real bonus for me
  14. Not checked yet, but I do know I have a copy of the tap file stashed in the house
  15. Next up is to fire up the CNC router and cut some ribs for the rebuild of the Green and Silver Stampe, Hopefully the cut files will still be on the computer since curt some for Williams Blue Stampe so should be fairly straight forward

  18. All ready to cover, Although ow would have been better if I could get 1.2M of Solartex Satin Cub Yellow I've primed it with some Cover Grip Be interesting to see how it compares to Balsaloc Ive ordered the paint

  20. It’s a possibility have noted the low rpm the different array of fuel mixes on the petrol four strokes is a bit of a worry
  21. I’ve got a NGH 38 that’s now in my SE5A whilst it’s ok ish I would like to try something different
