  1. I have been advised to use Linseed oil as a lubricant
  2. Thanks, looking at it I reckon the tip goes to the middle of the LE, and like you say the tip is butt jointed to the LE and also to the TE. Peter
  3. Hi, building a BB Standard Buccaneer and cant understand if the wing tip goes at the bottom or the middle of the 1/2 x 1/2 leading edge if you understand what I mean. On the plan it shows a dotted line where the tip meets the leading edge. This is the first time that I have built a R/C plane in 40 years ! The one prior to this was a Flair Puppeteer. Many thanks, Peter
  4. Certainly looking forward to building this one. Just getting all of the hardware together first. I have a F/F KK Gypsy to build first. Peter
  5. Received my Buccaneer kit and very happy with it and on inspection of the plans they specify a 4 oz fuel tank, i`m putting in a .40 engine, do you think a bigger tank would be better?
  6. Many thanks gents, just what I needed, Peter
  7. Returning back to the hobby after a very long break and having aquired a SC46 I was wondering what fuel would suit this engine. Things have moved on a bit since I was flying. Peter
  8. Very, very interesting. Quite compact.
  9. I agree with this and it is sound advice but this aircraft isn`t going to be my only steed. As I said in an earlier post I have a high wing foamy and a electric foamy glider to be getting on with plus a Boddy Old bill.
  10. Been trawling the net and there`s not a lot out there but luckily found a Ben Buckle Buccaneer 66" span from Addlestone Models, so i`ve bought that. probably put a .35 or a .40 two stroke in it. Whoopee
  11. Just had a nice phone call with Colin Buckle and he has had a foot amputation so there will be no kits from him at the moment. He has to recover more before he restocks. Peter
  12. Many thanks gents, I have a lathe and milling machine so I might have a go sometime.
  13. May be a daft question but just wondering if anyone has made a successful custom exhaust for a 2 stroke engine. I was thinking of making one to see if I can make an engine quieter. ie. a couple of boxes.
