Spent the day flying at RAF Tibenham withe the RAFMAA guys, lovely weather conditions for the time of year. Seen here is my Max Holste Brussard in the queue behind a 1/3rd scale Fokker DVII and my .90 Four stroke SC powered Piper Pacer basking in the late afternoon sun. 😊 This model is now up for sale if anyone is interested.

Priory Models Silhouette
martin collins 1 replied to martyn sharp's topic in Sport, Aerobatic and 3D kits
My Silhouette is now sold, time to move on to a new one, will post pics once the box is open and glue is being applied! -
I have decided to sell my Priory Models Silhouette, i have been flying this for 5 or 6 years now but am putting together a new one from one of my two kits, ( you can tell i like these models), this one is all set up with motor/esc, servos etc and will just need a 4s lipo (i have been using a 3300mah) and a receiver. Monkee the pilot will be removed to go in the new model which is going hooligan mode with an E Flite 60 motor and 6s! I am looking for £100 for this one, good condition, never damaged, top hatch for the battery, a great model and superb flyer, the colour scheme shows up really well in the air with the dayglow sunburst on top and maroon stripes on the bottom of the wing. Last flown on Saturday at the Buckminster Best of British Fly In. Sorry can`t post but can take to the BMFA Buckminster bring & buy on 13th October for collection.

The Silhouette got flown on the Saturday at the Best of British weekend at Buckminster, sadly the only Silhouette there. I am going to advertising this one which i have been flying for 5 or 6 years now and putting together a new one from one of my two kits, this one is all set up with motor/esc, servos etc and will just need a 4s lipo (i have been using a 3300mah) and a receiver. I will put this in the For sale section, i am looking for £100 for this one, good condition, never damaged, top hatch for the battery, a great model and superb flyer, i will be taking it to the Buckmonster swapmeet in two weeks time if someone wants to pick it up from there. -
Flew my DB DH60 a couple of times early in the day today before the wind got too strong, if you`d been there with yours Geoff we could have had a nice slow formation down the flight line. Hope you can come and have a fly at the event next year, it was so much fun, i did all three days and have got a horse voice from so much talking!

Had a great day, great to finally meet so many people from this forum, really enjoyed the WW1 jamboree slots, flew my DR1 four times today and kept it on it`s wheels for all four landings, came home happy. Looking forward to some more fun tomorrow, Nutten Special and Broussard, both Laser powered and a DB Moth for some airtime.

I think a meet like this at the weekend where several of Richard`s products can be seen in the wild and in the air is a great `expand the fold` opportunity, i`m sure all us who have previously sampled Richard`s kits will be singing their praises, even if some of us have not completed their kits yet 😱. I am shuffling towards the door at this point as i am one of them.........

SKYWAY MODELS Hawk 70 kits will be available at Buckminster this weekend, Masons Models who are producing these kits is my local model shop and i am bringing a few Hawk 70 kits with me. Many will remember the original Plan Pack Skyway kits, these new ones from Steve Mason have all the pre cut wood included, requiring just the smaller hardware, wheels, tank etc to be sourced to suit the builder. Steve can offer these but the bits can also be sourced from SLEC at the weekend or your local model shop. This is a Best of British weekend at Buckminster, why not buy one of these British made kits, they are a well proven design that look like a 1940`s Miles Magister type aircraft, the Skyways Hawks are well known for their great flying characteristics. Pick one up from me at Buckminster and save yourself the postage cost, i have no financial interest in these kits, just helping out a British kit manufacturer who is local to me, price for the kits is £209 at Buckminster. Here is the link to the Hawk 70 information:- https://masonsmodels.co.uk/product/skyway-models-hawk-70/
