  1. I’ve found Easy Cote awful and given up trying with it.

Ripmax Aerocote is OK and if you want to order outside the UK try  https://zyhobby.com/

They sell the Chinese coveting that everyone else seems to sell too.  They also sell discounted Oracover too and lots of other accessories that are good in my experience.

  2. Hi Witterings

If you are happy with a little soldering and a project then this could be the answer:

I have two 450w HP server power supplies I bought for £5 each online and they have been working for me for more than 2 years now.  Very quiet and very well specified power supplies and it’s possible to find 1000w and more versions if that’s of interest.

  3. Another vote for Octopus here and also improving the insulation route too.

Avoid British Gas like the plague if my multiple experiences are anything to go by.

A further point to check from experience with let properties is that if the electric route is the solution before you upgrade check the supply infrastructure will support what you intend to do.  I have had two flats now where I wanted to install electric heating but could not because they were fed on a loop system which meant that it was not possible to supply the necessary amp hours of electricity needed.
