  1. I normally receive RCME in the post ahead of the sale of the magazine in shops. This month nothing, is it just me or is anyone else missing their postal mag delivery?

    9c Tx Fault

Hi All, I cannot get my 9c to switch on! Was ok now nothing? When connected to wall charger and on/off switch on Tx cycled, charger responds by charging or not? The Tx has a new nimh which is fully charged and has been tested OK on my 7c, Any thoughts welcome. I contacted RIPMAX. they advised no Service Dept until after lockdo
  4. Thanks for all replies which I will start and read with a fresh brew in the workshop. Build 1 is a flair junior 60, build 2 is a MeadowSkipper as shown on Plans given in radio modeller mag in the 1990s. Both will have 4 strokes
  5. Up till now I have either flown ARTF, or 2nd hand planes where any repairs have necessitated like for like replacement. Now I want to build from plan where I need to order the wood based on what the plan shows me. Taking advice from this forum I note that there are many views on where soft, medium or hard balsa or birch or other wood should be located, but nothing definitive, is there such a guide anywhere, and do I need to ask the balsa supplier for specific types of balsa or other wood by ordering from where the wood it to be used, e.g spar, longer on, wing skin etc?
  6. Hi PatMc, how do I send you a ‘PM’?
  7. Thanks to all for responses. I have now got a copy of KK plan and will create templates from the plans. With fresh eyes I will re-scour the Flair plan in case I’ve missed the rib sections. Another item missing from the kit is the Flair Instructions mentioned by brokenenglish, being a newbie I assumed the plan was all you got in the box🤔 So a copy would be welcomed if anyone has a copy. Hopefully in a couple e of days I will report back on progress.

  9. I am building a flair J60 from a secondhand kit, just getting ready to build centre section and wings and find that the ribs in the box belong to a different plane! The flair J60 plan does not show the rib profiles. Does anyone have a copy of these profiles that can be uploaded to get me going? Thanks
  10. Thanks for the responses and the information. Maybe I expect too much but you would think the manufacturer would give the owner a clue. Looking at the torque figure of 5kg would it be best to get metal gears and bearings in the servos?
  11. I have just bought a Seagull Zero. The kit is great, the manual detailed except it gives no clue as to what size, type etc servos are required for the flying surfaces, retracts and throttle. My model is 69” wingspan, 1.20 FS, weight around 4.75kg (9 1/2 lbs) and has mechanical retracts. The manual says 8 servos and the box 9! How do I choose the right servos. Apologies if a forum already exists for this topic, please repoint my enquiry to the right space, thanks

    Taranis x9d newbie

i won an x9d tax in my local model club raffle. Being both a newbie flyer and only slightly pc literate I am bamboozled by the x9d and wondered if there is a library or model settings that I can download and use in my Tx to get me going. I have checked the firmware and this is ex factory version 1. My planes are Irvine tutor with IC engine, zagi 48inch with electric motor, ST Discovery, Multiplex Easystar And Funcub
