  1. My boss said he liked the fact I have a picture of my wife and children in my wallet all the time. I said “It’s to remind me why I have NO MONEY IN THE THING.”
  2. Thought today I would go back and have a look at my childhood home and when I got there I decided to knock and ask the owners if I could have a nostalgic look inside, but they refused and slammed the door in my face!!!!!..................... My parents are the worst!!!
  3. Primrose Valley, etc.. The Model Aviators Association ran weekly holidays in Yorkshire and Devon for slope soaring and power flying. The holidays were very popular 30+ years ago, but fashions change and the numbers gradually dwindled away. Also, we were at the mercy of the British weather. . . and it could be memorably merciless on some of those holidays. I used to be deeply involved with running the power sites but haven't been on any of the holidays for several years. I am not even sure if the MAA still exists... Try giving a call to the Grimsby Model Centre https://www.grimsbymodelcentre.co.uk/ ... They will be able to give any up-to-date information. For power flying, I would prefer to fly at (BMFA) Buckminster for a week. . . A much better set-up. 👍
  4. Halfords has many to choose from. 😉
  5. Using a pice of tinplate works but it allows a component to "slide" across the plate. Using two magnets firmly locks everything in place.
  6. I.C. engines will be a significant part of the hobby for as long as I.C. engines are produced and, very importantly, there are spares parts readily available. Obsolete engines are still giving good service but they will slowly die out as replacement parts become unobtainable.
  7. There are only a problem if/when they fall out. Rare earth magnets are strong. Try to avoid them making physical contact or they will pull each other out from their mountings. Putting a piece of paper between helps to keep the magnets in place.
