  1. Radio 4 'long wave' moved from 200kHz to 198kHz several years ago to comply with 9kHz channel spacing.
  2. My solution to the 'undercarriage' problem with Wot4s and Acrowots was to tap out the screw holes (think it was M4) and fit cheese head nylon bolts instead of the steel screws. I occasionaly sheared the bolts on heavy landings, but never ripped ot the plastic fixing plate. My last Wot4 survived over 200 flights before I passed it on to another club member.
  3. If you are going to use the drill/measure AC voltage method, you need to multiply the rms voltage by 1.414 to obtain the peak voltage. Some folks also advocate multiplying the peak voltage by 0.95 to approximate the motor's efficiancy.
  4. Foam-Tac is good for depron, can even be used a hinges in place of Blenderm tape etc.
  5. I see there is a 6 second jump in time between 34:24 and 40:00 seconds - an interuption in battery voltage to the transmitter?
  6. One method is to flood the joint(s) with low-melting point solder (typically 145 dec C) You then have time to remove the component before the joints solidify at a temperature that does not damage the PCB or component. Remove the excess solder with solder wick before fitting the new component with normal solder. ChipQuik do full kits (expensive) but you can buy the solder by the metre (try here)
  7. If you watch the beginning of the video from the Pheonix 1600 link, you can see that the model's battery connector is an XT60 (and that the owner is using an XT60 to Deans adaptor to suit the battery he is using)
  8. + 1 for the Epson inktanks from me as well. Mine is of similar age and the very frugal ink consumption will more that pay for the higher initial outlay.
  9. Hi Erfolg, If you google 'epson stylus sx425w printer error e-01' you will find several suggestions as to the problem - best of luck. Sparks
  10. Just for info, the brackets of a switch description indicate the momentry positions ie (ON)-OFF-(ON) is a center-biased three position switch. ON-OFF-ON is a three position switch with no bias.
  11. Thanks for the prompt replies folks. Macc Models seems the best option as they stock the sizes I need and prices are reasonable. Richard
  12. Hi, can anyone suggest a supplier for brass tubing and rod, specifically 10mm O/D and 6mm O/D brass tube or rod? I've looked on ebay, but most suppliers seem to be in the far east. Thanks, Sparks
  13. I have had several deliveries of PCB's (printed circuit boards) from China via FedEx and they have all arrived promptly. Generally leaving China mainland on Monday/Tuesday and being delivered on Friday morning the same week. Just saying....
  14. These steering modes are refered to as 'Crescent' and 'Star' steer. With Crescent steer, the vehicle will retrace its forward path in reverse. So, if you run the vehicle repeatedly forward and backwards the steering path will be crescent shaped (like a car). With Star steer, the steering direction is reversed when going backwards. So, if you run the vehicle repeatedly forward and backwards the steering path will be star shaped.
  15. Even if it is not a crack, its certainly a stress raiser.
  16. I'm watching with interest EB, please keep on posting.
  17. Michael, One more closure to report I'm afraid. Martin closed Whitchurch Models in may this year. A real loss.
  18. These are quite neat for small Motor/ESC connection 3 way X30 Connector
  19. Hi David, Here is an example of a servo operated micro switch. No doubt you could make your own bracket from a small piece of ali sheet.
  20. Try Model Maniacs https://www.modelmaniacs.co.uk/product/280-300-class-brushed-electric-motor/
  21. A point in favour of the Ruckus/Riots is that you can get spare parts from the supplier (Century).
  22. Just logged onto T9 and put the manual in the cart - postage is shown as £4.27 (to UK)
  23. T9 sell a printed manual. I find it much easier to use than on-line offerings. https://www.t9hobbysport.com/taranis-x9d-2019-opentx-2.3-user-manual
  24. Thanks flight1 and Frank, that's useful information. The width of the Diacover 1000 roll is 73.5cm compared to Oratex 60cm and is just right for covering each wing half of the Maricardo so I'll order some and give it a try.
