Recently converted my twin star to a 2 cell lipo, a 3200mah hard case as used in model cars needed to add 60grams of lead to get c of g something like and after 11 mins of flight only needed 2000mah to fully charge it. Well pleased with it.( forgot to mention checked with watt meter and it was drawing 25amps) J B Edited By Ramblingsid on 18/08/2009 18:46:28 Edited By Ramblingsid on 18/08/2009 18:49:27

Good flying weather in South Yorks. today, and a good turn out of club flyers both heli and fixed wing, usual banter of how the warm weather brings out the oldies and nice day flyers. A good day all round. -
Hi Garry, Angina and cold weather do'n't mix, so better to be soft and breathing than Hard and stiff, but yes it was good to be back Flying. I guess you must be an honorary Yellowbelly by now? JB

The weatherman got it right, overcast , dry and warm, (well 13 deg.) with the odd sunny spell. charged up and down to the field. Nobody there, but what the heck, fuel it up and start up, engine starts first flick and runs in its usual reversre direction, smug grin on face. (well it has been dorment since November) let it run for a bit and then start it in right direction, warm it up alittle more, then line it up into wind (what wind) and take off into the dull sky. All the doubts and winter blues melt away, its nice to be back, as the Cabin fever slowly goes away till next winter.

looks like the painted version in standard foam, you maybe better off getting the EPO version and a can of foam paint and making up a wire u/c yourself (all the plastic parts are in the box) .Check out SMC Cheers JB

I would have thought it was misleading advertising and possible breach of the "sale of goods " act or something along these lines, are Tornado motors cheaper?. but then if they had run out off the Het motors and sent you the Tornado as a replacement and you accept it it lets them off the hook so to speak. For my sins I use a Al's Hobbies E-Sky 6ch rx priced at £7.50 in my F16 right up at the front with the ariel out of the side and down the wing. There is a known hot spot where I fly so I keep out of it and have no trouble, it certainly make me smile when I fly it.

Must admit I've noticed my Twister batteries not lasti ng very long (about 6mins.). Discharge and recharge them, both took 742 &757 Mah, awaiting chance to try them out.

Hi Derek, The one that I remembered, mind it was a few years ago, I thought was a dark green. Sorry for the bum info. JB

Why not try Tamiya thread lock, if I remember rightly, most of there off road cars are a mixture of plastic/metal/GRP and it used to be coloured green in a tube. Hope this has been of some help. J.B
