  2. Hi all, I have just purchased a (World Models ZEN 50) that's in need of a little TLC. Can anyone help me out with the rec C of G and throws for this model....all help gratefully received Thanks Kev.
  3. Hi guys...I have followed this thread right from day one and have read with great interest the ways you have all tackled your respective builds. I personaly have been waiting ( a long time ) for the 78ins plan to be completed. While at the Cosford LMA I was lucky enough to talk to Tony and he told me that the air frame has been built ,and is awaiting covering. He has a number of work commitments that are nearing completion and then he WILL get back to finishing the Vulcan. So, if like me you have wanted to build this one , hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer.......to all you Vulcan builders ....i have seen some wonderful models......keep it up......Tony, it was a pleasure chatting to you....hope to have the plans soon 😉😉😉 Best regards Kev.
  4. Thanks to one and all for your answers.....a lad at my club has lent me a small lipo and regulator set up to try, and this seems to be working fine with less charging for more flying and that is what I hoped to achieve. Thanks again Kev. 😀
  5. Sorry Chaps .....I am the numpty in question....no the people responding....😡
  6. Hi Chaps, are any of you using lipos as flight battery's ? ie servo and receiver power.I have heard things for and against.....and the need for expensive regulators etc...so I'm looking for someone that uses these battery's and set ups that can give me a numpty's idea of the pro's and cons of lipo's verses the std nicad packs. Any feedback great fully received.
  7. Sorry.....should be more specific.....I am after the built up ARFT air frame ....not into foam.....thanks.
  8. Thanks Hanger 9....,... Just been on the Webb.....order only my friend 😢
  9. Does anyone know what's happening with Chris Foss Akro Wots ??????? I can't find any model shops that can sell me one ?.. Some advertise spares, but all the dealers that I have contacted have simply said they have them on order but there seems to be a problem getting them........any ideas people ??????
  10. Many thanks Steve ........will let you know how I get on with the flying bit.....lol.
  11. Hi guy's.....just got a mk 2 Akro from eBay that needed a bit of work on the front end. Work all done, but I don't have the C of G info so could someone let me know the figures please......thanks.
  12. Flight report for you Frank........after one or two teething problems......the model looks and fly's great in hands of a more accomplished indoor flyer.....(thanks Bob )......for a tiny model it fly's quite fast, so walls arrive in front of you all too soon but managed to avoid them.......I think I should find my self a model that's a little more forgiving to get me in the grove of indoor flying......that said I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and only suffered the loss of one wheel due to a heavy landing.....a little repair work and (in the words of Arnie) I'll be back. Thanks for your input and interest Regards Kev.
  13. Thanks to you all for your replys....peters channel assignment works great.........thanks guys Regards Kev.
  14. Thanks for your reply Pete .....will give it a go and get back to you Cheers Kev.
  15. Dave...thanks for your reply.......to recap it's not the actual mode I wish to change......just would like to operate the rudder from the aileron stick rather than elevator on the right stick and rudder on the left.......if a mode change will do this then you will have to forgive me........DX is only weeks old and I am an old man....cheers Kev.
  16. Hi I'm trying a bit of indoor flying ...... the wife bought me a flyzone SE5a and the anylink 2 (Birthday)......powerd everything up.......all works as expected for a mode 2 tranny. My question is...as the SE5a is rudder/elevator can the Dx9 be programmed to give me ele/rudder together on the right hand stick like I had on my first trainer........as apposed to the usuall set up. The model is a PNP so swapping servo leads is not an option.......can any one help or do you have another way around this prob .Thanks for any help you can give Kev.
  17. Wow...thanks guys The (workhorse) theme appeals as I would like to think I could leave it in the car for those (got to have a fly) times. But all comments and models will be looked at.....and your reply have given me a reassurance that although a ( know nothing) at the moment, any problems I may have along the way I can always (PHONE A FRIEND)....... Thanks again guys..........keep the info coming..........Kev.
