  1. Have you had this in the air yet Bob? Desperately waiting for a quick flight review from you before parting with my hard earned. Im hoping it'll have a bit more power out of the box than its little brother Edited By Daniel Brannon on 04/01/2016 14:53:49
  2. Thanks for the response. I've gone with some 3300 cells, I will see how they go when I get hold of them.
  3. Perhaps opening an ageing thread here but having decided to go with this model can anyone tell me what the largest size 4s pack I can get in without having to cut one of the cross spars as the original poster did.
  4. Thanks for your advice Tony. I've had a play around and managed to adjust the z-bends a bit which has removed some of the slop. Hopefully whats left is acceptable. I'll be taking it down to my club at the weekend so hopefully one of the experienced guys can check it over for me.
  5. Tony, thanks for the advice I'll take a look at re-bending the connections. Will have to investigate how to get the control rods out of the fuselage as it's quite tight in there. The connections were loose from new. Being new I get the impression Z bends will always have a bit of free play in them. This just seems a lot, the rudder for instance can move a fair bit just from the slop in the linkage. However my main concern is that due to this play the rudder & elevator do not self centre, so I'm assuming this surface deflection will cause problems in flight.
  6. Hope someone can assist me, currently putting my Riot together, a nice easy job and went well the only concern I have is the amount of linkage 'slop' on the rudder and elevator. The Z bends in the fuselage are rather loose in the servo horns generating quite a lot of 'slop' in the control services. I'm quite new to all this and not sure how much of this 'slop' is acceptable in flight. The Rudder linkage currently works fine however left rudder will not return back to centre when the Tx is centred due to the Z bend being loose, you have to apply a bit of right rudder and then centre the Tx to centre the rudder surface. (hope that makes sense) Any advise appreciated.
  7. I'm not one to normally post reviews of model shops / web sales companys as a good level of service 'should' be expected as standard. However I wanted to say thankyou for the superb service recieved from Active Scale Models this week. They offered a really quick response to emails which is refreshing, I cannot easily get access to a phone during the daytime so emails are an easy source of communication for me, unfortunately I find too many retails have web page query forms or email address and presumably never monitor these as a response either takes weeks or never arrives. Having placed my order after 3PM, I was shocked to see dispatch confirmation the same day with the parcel arriving the following morning. Overall a really good friendly service and I'll be using them again.
  8. I bought a 4 Ch Flying Wings V Trainer as my first model prior to getting the Multiplex Mentor. The V Trainer was a really good introduction and being made of EPP foam it's really really tough. It also handles a bit of wind pretty well. Link Below. **LINK**
  9. Can anyone tell me what date the magazine usually arrives on your doorstep? Got a subscription for Christmas, January issue arrived OK in december but still not seen the Feb issue. I also cannot access the digital stuff on this website.
