John you have right to have a PSA test just remember symptoms are rare until prostate cancer is advanced almost certainly you will have an enlarged prostate it goes with the territory for aging men, many men die from other conditions and may have prostate cancer that never causes a problem. My father had prostate cancer without knowing and for him it was to late so in my opinion get checked in all likelihood you may have no problem as they say it's better to know your enemy.

Hi Chris thanks for warning I will load test them however these units are all metal heavy duty (heavy being apt) I think rated for 10kg -

Hello. I only have a mini lathe and its slow progress but I have turned down the parts for the oleo extension for a tight fit and bonded with high viscosity super glue I now have good clearance when retract is extended and good prop clearance. I will have to build up the lower rear of the nacelle to accommodate main wheel I will use blue foam after cutting away the balsa skin. -
I take tamsulosin every morning I honestly don't know if makes a difference I still get up for a pee 3 to 5 times a night .

Hi Martyn you are making a cracking job of this plane -

Hello again ,well after much pondering I think I have a solution to the retract problem. I have cut out more of the internal bits in the nacelle to give me 30mm for strut length the retract mounting will remain the same using the original oleo which I turned down to fit in the retract unit which has a 10mm pin mount I have ordered a small amount of quality ali rod and tube to extend cutting a section of rod to 45mm and a section of tube to 50mm I can sleeve and bond the join. sorry 1 pic out of focus. -
thanks guys I only found out this pm I will be OK after a scotch and sleep.

Some progress on one nacelle all planked with retract in place it is sitting nicely in place exposed after carefully cutting access for retract doors all seemed good UNTIL!!!!! I extended the retract and realised the main wheel is about 40mm short so therefore is to close to nacelle ? , this is by no means my neatest or an easy build . So now I have to do a combination of 2 things first raise retract unit as much as possible which won't be much or just try a longer oleo , just looked again I placed the retract as far forward as possible to get depth and clearance in nacelle profile a longer oleo means main wheel will be further towards rear of nacelle . What a real pain I have a warbird Mustang kit to build sometime which I may sell on also I have an ambition to build a Burnelli CBY-3 but not until this cat is built. -
April 2019 is so long ago when I was first diagnosed and have been monitored since then all has been OK until now last three PSA results show a rise and this last one a jump to 7.3 that's a 1.2 jump bit of a shock to say the least got to have another blood test end of March and if still raised or rising have a discussion on next steps maybe another biopsy or MRI or possible treatment anxious to say the least but at least monitoring works.

Hi Eric It's what you expect as you get older and to make matters worse I have just missed sitting on my seat properly and crashed backwards in to my 3D printer and onto the floor that did not feel good and still waiting on my latest PSA results the last one showed an upward trend ? -

Hi everybody it's not been easy getting back on track with the Tiger what with having Covid and yes I was fully vaccinated plus the booster and I'm glad for that it was not at all pleasant and would have been a whole lot worse. Back to the Tiger I was having a heck of a problem deciding the best way to proceed with the nacelles one obstacle being to U/C I lacked the skill to make a scale set up and could not access my son-in-laws machinery again because of Covid . I already had a set of servoless main retracts and have managed to source oleos and wheels from RC Motion for the Flightline Tigercat (same scale and wingspan) this is a foam model but the spares will suit me perfectly it feels like cheating but there is no way I can complete this cat without a bit of bending. The nacelles are a pig to build and the first attempt ended up in the bin I cannot in all honesty achieve a fully scale model the next attempt is a more measured approach and I am slowly getting there. Anyway if any one wants me to continue to post the build with pics of progress and the parts borrowed from the Flightline cat give me a shout . -
you can custom buttons in Laser GRBL or go here for a set of predefined buttons framing being one of them
-
Or do you mean command code to frame object to be cut
-
GCODE is the machine code that the laser is controlled with created by in your case with LaserGRBL
-
Thanks FF I did say Laser Grbl I should have capitalised the word ?
-
Was it laser GRBL

Need to know what to do next and where I will be going, with Ender 3.
Martian replied to Erfolg's topic in 3D Printing
Hi Ron it was the ABS that caused the problem it just baked in the nozzle so as I said I am prepared to change head assy and with the latest Prusa upgrade it is easier to change and only minor realignment needed. Looking at my bed plate it is a lovely smear of white and as you I only wash it with washing up liquid when really needed I had never ending problems with my Anet a8 no matter how carefully I set it up it is now a CNC router albeit still needs fine tuning . I also had problems with cold air movement but not with the Prusa . Knowing your printer is key to understanding failures that and a pre flight check ? before starting . -

a frequent problem is first layer warping once this happens sooner or later the head will collide with the warp and knock is of the bed. -

Erfolg. no 1 for successful prints is excellent bed levelling , I stick to one supplier of filament for example pla by Sunlu . I don't know whether your Ender 3 has a bed levelling probe but it is certainly a worthwhile upgrade and not to costly. My Prusa is auto levelling and I use pritt stick and can print various 3d prints continuously with no problems. sometimes if the item to be printed is small I may opt to use a raft rather than brim just a bit more work cleaning up. I would personally print known successful G code prints and aim for continuous successful prints . For PLA I do not heat the bed in fact if I was to print using ABS or PETG I would change the printhead ie only use 1 head for PLA another for ABS etc. ABS melts at a higher temp and if you attempt to print PLA afterwards you will almost certainly have head blocking problems due to residual ABS . Each failure is a step to perfection and it takes a lot of work . Storage of PLA filament is important because it is hydroscopic and will cause bubbling and spitting in the head also poor layer adhesion. -
Thank you guys. I have a licensed Lightburn .the reason I started out on this path was to make Nacelle formers for my Tigercat . I know there are laser cutting services out there but I wanted to do it myself especially if its a bespoke part I need . What I wondered is if you send a plan to a laser cutting service or CNC how do the plans get transferred to the laser software ?
-
thanks FF I was hoping I could convert to a cad file and then extract a single former or say wing rib etc

Hi there I'm nearly ready to get back on track with my TC I have been side-tracked building a laser cutter/engraver and a CNC router learning both machines operation has been a struggle but I have cut some round formers successfully and also engraved 12 boxs for the grand kids for Christmas so that out the way I should be active again thanks for waiting ? -
First thank you FlyinFlyn thanks for all your help I have successfully calibrated and got my laser cutter working using it to cut beech ply formers and engrave images and lettering , I have also built a CNC router and am trying to calibrate this using the same control board as the cutter and again GRBL software. What I need to be able to do is convert PDF files to cad files then Gcode files so I can extract individual former patterns from a plan any Ideas also to anyone who knows how to do this. thank you

I'm afraid if you have out most things and I fail to see how the prang upset the esc unless the motor stalled and drew to much current. I would be inclined to try replacing the motor and esc if that brings it back to normal then try swapping the esc back se if the problem returns and don't forget as pointed out that the motor bearing may have suffered.
