I noticed today the Green Keepers at a local golf club out cutting the greens, and wondered if clubs intend to maintain the flying sites during lockdown?

Has anyone received theirs yet? They were apparently posted on the 11th Feb - must be coming by shankes's pony express.

A common problem with this Spektrum battery pack is it self discharges (something to do with its charging circuitry). I replaced it with a 4 Max Lipo pack. The Tx now holds its charge for months - discharge problem solved!

I had a Viva HA I took it to a local garage for its MoT on later ringing to enquire on the car the mechanic told me the car was fine - but when I come to pick the car up could I bring the chassis with me as he had been unable to find it! The joy of 60s & 70s cars.

If you still have the old fin try using your CA and contact adhesive on it to see if it damages the foam. If I remember correctly the foam on the fin and tailplane are covered in a type of plastic.

It reads: Why be awkward when, with a little more trouble you can be ruddy impossible ! Well said Peter remember 'you can lead a horse to water...……….'

Just had an email from BMFA regarding membership renewal for 2020 - well written clear information on how/what to do. Obviously members without computer/email will not be informed. Clubs insisting members renew their BMFA membership themselves via the GO site may well lose members. -

I hold an A certificate but decided out of curiosity to do both the CAA and BMFA competency tests. They are not difficult and take very little time to complete. Its so easy to remain compliant, but its an individual's choice. I have not however registered as an Operator and will follow BMFA advice to use the exemption. -

What is the point of doing the BMFA competency test for either model aircraft or drone when the CAA test covers both? BMFA test covers both Andy - I really meant to post that I am struggling to understand why the BMFA are running a separate competency registration. -
