HI, can any one please explain why the Radian glider folding props are so different to any other make, the fixing is 2 brass rods instead of screws or threaded bolts, also very difficult to obtain.

I have had quite a few products with no problems. Highly recommended. You should have no probs. -
Hi Denis & McG, sorry to have to say that I have tried ever thing that you have explained to me to alter the time & date on this confounded camera but nothing seems to work. I think it must be the SD card which will not except the information, the film I took today it states that the date is 2017.02.02. so it is not changing. perhaps I have done something to stop that working properly. unless the time is wrong and it changes at mid night tonight. I will keep trying but if I can't do it then it will have to stay as it is. Once again thank you both. All the best . Mike...

Hi, Denis and McG . Thank you for the information, I have tried both ways but still do not seem to be able to activate what ever it is to change the time, the date which is in the camera is correct. The camera I am using is a 4gb FLY DV FPV video camera, the SD card is fixed inside and cannot be taken out, I will try again but do not know what the root folder is, may have to get someone to do it who knows. Thanks again and it was much appreciated. Mike.

Hi, just hoping some one out there may be able to help me, the time and date on the camera is all wrong, the only help with the manual & Disc is to alter the time before a photo is taken, I cannot record the time and date properly when I fly, Thanks in anticipation for any help I can receive. Mike, . 4gb fly DV FPW video Cameras.

Hi, I have a problem that I hope some one can help me with. The problem is with a 4gb fly dv fpv vidio camera. works really well and takes great vidio's , the problem is I cannot alter or change the time and date, the only thing the disk & manual tells me is the time difference between photo's. Any one with any info will be most appreciated. Mike. -

HI Alan, pleased you are nearing completion, flew mine today as it may be my last time for quite a while. Took off & just floated around for ages just a light breeze & nothing to worry about, got a bit tired and the sun had gone down, a bit of mist rising so had to land, a very pleasant afternoon and came home happy, Good luck on your maiden and happy landings. All the best Mike. Halloween and all. -

Sorry I for got to mention the ESC is under the battery, I have made a cover for it with two screws. you can see where the wires are going, a piece of foam behind the battery and a piece in front to stop it bashing the bolts Mike. -

Where the red band is that is the position of the fire wall. do away with the front one and just block it off, I do not have air ways as I only use the motor to get high up then switch off and glide, it looks tatty that's because of the many flights it has had, winter job recover, here's hoping you can understand what I have done, but make sure you glue the fire wall in well. All the best, Mike. -

Hi Paul, if I remember there should be a short piece of rod shaped like this. 1____1 or you have to shape it, when I had mine the two pieces of brass tube were missing for the wings rod. all the best, Mike. -

hi all, sorry I have not been on, some serious problems, before I think I wrote to say how to over come this problem with the motor wires, if you had fixed a brushless motor with the wires coming from the back no problems, all it takes is to make and fix a new fire wall, with the x mount on the back of the motor, then fix motor to the new fire wall, making sure the distance from fire wall is correct to give the prop a bit of space from the nose, I have no probs with heat as I only run the motor to gain height, then switch off and glide, If I can get some photos of mine I will post them on here, all the best to all, happy landings. Mike. -

Hi Andy, what you should have done was forget the front fire wall, offer the motor to where the fire wall is leaving enough space for the prop driver then mark where the x mount would be with it fitted to the motor, that is where the fire wall is to be fixed, some where back by D, this is how you can have the wires at the back, then you can make a front piece leaving enough space between it and the prop. hope this explains it a bit better. I do not know if you can rearrange what you have done to get it the same as me, this is one plan where you have to make changes to suit the motor and how to fix it. All the best Mike. -

Hi Andy & Glyn, yes I did use the same type of motor, but as far I can remember I offered it up before I fixed the fire wall, that way I could determine just where the fire wall should go, by doing this the motor wires are coming from the back of the motor not the front, the cross fixing piece is then at the back, the prop driver is at the front. it seems to me you have the motor the wrong way round. I do hope that this explains what I did to get the wires at the back, then no props with them. No inrunner do not like them so do not use them, brushless for me every time. all the best Mike. -

Hi, Glyn, sounds to me that you have the wrong motor in, I put a brushless one where the wires come out at the back cut a slot in the top of the fire wall and the wires can go straight to the ESC and battery. just where do your wires come from? at the front of the motor. I have flown mine now for a lot of times and in a 15/18 MPH wind no problems, also I have been up to ,1,470. feet, probably where I fly it is only about 700 ft. above sea level. good luck with the wires. all the best Mike. -

Hi Glyn, looks just great, Good job well done, I am sure it will fly as good as it looks, Just one thing if you had built the wing with a D Box, it would have made the wing that little bit stronger, never mind plenty of flying and happy landings. Mike.. .. -

HI, just a thought, I think the ones you have are for the wooden rod type, a z bend for the clevis, a z bend for the the servo end then you decide what length you want, and then bind and glue the rods to the wooden rod, the only thing wrong with this is no adjustment unless you put a v in one end to make an adjustment, I think I have said before the best method is to use, Golden Rod controls, plenty of adjustment then and a really solid control, there are two sizes Blue the largest, Red the smallest, I have used the Red for my Eagle and no problems at all, so easy to adjust after the Maiden flights to put the controls all back to central on the transmitter. Just remember to put some cross pieces down the fuz to glue the outers to to make them secure and no flopping about. Good luck with what you use, but do take the easiest method. All the best, Mike. -

Hi Steve, Pleased to hear you have flown, yes it is a great glider, can be used for soaring as well, I have fitted an altimeter into mine but not flown with it yet, the glide on mine is fantastic just does not want to land. all the best for a great summer, and plenty of flying. happy landings . . -

Hi Glyn, sorry if I confused you, I did mean cover the plane as you would like it, then if you want to add some extra bits like stripes or the name this can be done after. take a look back at Ton's and you will see what I mean. All the best, Mike. -

Hi Glyn, start by covering all bottom pieces first, then the tops, I start with the wings, then tail plane and rudder, the fus,, do the bottom then the sides finish with the top , cut each piece 1/4 to 3/8ths bigger, that gives you a bit to play with to wrap around each surface, the different colours can be added after. test the heat of your iron by the method to place a small piece on to the base of the iron and see how it curls , to fast to hot to slow not hot enough, if you are not sure try the covering on to a spare piece of balsa until you are satisfied that it is stuck down ok. Good luck, practice is the only way, Mike.
