  1. Like the rest of us, I am delighted for you. Keep trying to focus on what you CAN DO, as opposed to what you currently can't, and it is currently and not never. The list will grow in the positive direction. Thrilled for you
  2. Yesterday I was chatting to a mate who's volunteering at the Olympics, he collects the batons from the relay runners after the race, he's great at it................you've got to hand it to him......
  3. I have sometimes glued two sheets of sandpaper together and then cut out a "washer" to clamp up to between the hub and prop.. mostly on my YS engines. Has worked fine. 4 strokes can bang and throw a prop.. Just whip the rocker cover off and make sure the rockers havent jumped off the rods before trying again.
  4. Hey Jon, change your name, wear a disguise, leave your former life at Laser behind and focus on your hobby without the baggage which has amassed. We all know aeromodelling is a stress buster and shouldnt be stress generator.. what ever you decide I wish you well
  5. Yes a Norvel RC 0.49.. really good little engines, it is glow, not diesel. I use the "Big Mig 0.61 in my 1/2a mustang". The 0.61 uses a "button type" glow plug, I imagine the 0.49 is the same
  6. Thanks guys, but I can’t seem to find any info on the dogfight double. If you have a link I would be very grateful
  7. Hi folk, the old man has been handed this. 40” span, kinda cartoon mustang/spit. All solid, wing doesn’t detach, access via hatch with canopy on top..sort of a 25 size fun fighter but not.. will be pretty old.
  8. You clever clever devil... brilliant
  9. Mornin all, early start this morning, as I'm walking a bit better on my dodgy leg today, I didn't think orthopaedic shoes would help............but I stand corrected
  10. Can you post a few pics of your electronic switch installations? Is it simply a hole in the side of fus to poke your finger through??
  11. Mornin all, I've been busy writing my book on how hurricanes form, I've only just started it.....so it's just a draft at the moment
  12. Mornin all, little late starting this morning as I had an incident earlier, I opened the airing cupboard door and a huge stack of toilet rolls fell on me, I'm not too badly hurt.............just some soft tissue damage
  13. Bottom right of that tank, there is a blocked off “hole”. Drill it out, stick some fuel tube and fill and drain through that. Oh and block off one of the two vent pipes at the top with short bit of tube and a bung.
  14. The needle only is actually part 22681971
  15. Hi Guys, servo failure this weekend, wrecked my model. Second occurrence with a turnigy 225MG.. Ummm.. pays your money I suppose.. Ground was soft, but the needle on my 25 FSR is bent!!.. grrrr.. Long shot, but if anyone has a spare, I would be very interested in purchasing. Regards
  16. stick an apple air tag on the ride on. About £30, somewhere not obvious. keep an eye on the well known auction sites and social media sites in the ensuing weeks. Ours was taken a good few years ago, and turned up on the auction site a few days late a few miles from our field. Successfully recovered.
  17. Surprised to hear a pilot figure is on its way, I would have thought he could jump in himself at that size!!. 🙂 . At least if he loses the wing tubes as we all do, a quick trip to the building site should yield a few scaffolding poles which would do the job.. Impressive
  18. That really is a real "feel good" story, thanks for posting.. There is some good in the world, and especially amongst modellers. Love it
  19. Having a lot of fun with our converted ones at the club. Rigged up an old volentex tough trainer with an upgraded motor and tow up the lidl's using velco on the tow line, and just a yank off when at desired altitude.. really good fun.
