Hate to say it but Google has a vast answer to the question "small flexible plastic bottle".

Yep, my wife had both eyes done via SpaMedica and had no complaints at all, also a plentiful supply of tea or coffee plus biscuits.

Just to add that the NHS outsources a lot of cataract work to the private sector so do ask to be referred outside of the NHS to ensure prompt action.

I'm no expert and use a Turnigy i6 which is the same as your model. From what I read about upgrades the reason most people seem to have done it is because it mainly increases the number of channels from 6 to 10. And no, I haven't done it myself, six is more than enough for me at the moment.

Would hiring one for that task be a cost saving? You can often get a good 'Weekend' rate.

What Spray Paint For My Balsa Glider?
Brian Sweeting 1 replied to Greg's topic in All Things Model Flying
Just to add my two-pennath, the experts appear to not be able to read the manufacturers correctly which makes them assume too much. The instructions, as stated above, state that "you CAN apply covering". Can is not shorthand for SHALL so I quite agree with Greg in asking a simple question and expecting some civil answers. I am a similar age as you Greg and we are always learning, if allowed. Good luck with the operation. -

Try "RC receiver switch" on ebay, lots out there. -
BAN on Model gliding on Dartmoor
Brian Sweeting 1 replied to Wookman's topic in All Things Model Flying
An update from our local paper today in Newton Abbot aboout the Byelw revisions proposed. "among other measures the revised byelaws will include: No person in charge of a dog shall cause or allow it to be exercised on Access Land other than under effective control and, if directed to do so by a Ranger, must keep the dog on a lead. No person shall operate a powered model aircraft or drone on or over Access Land unless they are authorised to do so in writing by the Authority." There is no mention of gliders or kites etc so perhaps the have quietly dropped that threat. -
Searching for a mini lathe
Brian Sweeting 1 replied to Jon H's topic in Model Engineering and Accessories
I bought a lathe from Chester Tools about 7 years ago and it has proved pretty good. Research I did at the time showed that yes, most of these ma hints are made in China but ones retailed by the UK virus had been specified by them and quality controlled by them as well. I would suggest that you buy via a UK tool supplier as you will have access to local backup and extra or improved parts as your usage grows. Of course YouTube is a great source of info on these tools as well. -

Help required North Devon Soaring

There is a YouTuber Nick Chitty who flies up in devon somewhere, try and one-act him via his vlog -
I'm not an electrician but have replaced tubes with those led tubes and starter replacements. The replacement starter is simply a wire link to replace the original starter as it is not longer needed. The end result is superb, instant light and no fading as yet, go for it.

RCME forum - The shape of things to come ?

Unfortunately forums need money to host and maintain, advertising is a way of assisting with the costs. -
Another effect of higher than normal temperatures

This is one occasion where having your tyres inflated with Nitrogen can be beneficial. The problem is not defeated but reduced. -
Has the organisers been in the beer tent?

I got my JIS screwdriver set from the USA a few years back and after delivery was informed that Halfords carry them, just typical. ANyway, just checked their website and yes Halfords still carry a set of four drivers from just under £16. Search on "JIS screwdrivers"
-
Further to the JIS screwdriver there is often, but not always, a small dot impressed into the screwhead.

Bending thick U/C wire?
Brian Sweeting 1 replied to martin collins 1's topic in All Things Model Flying
If you have two hammers then use the radius of one hammer head as a former. Clamp wire and hammer head in vise and gently tap with incresing force until it starts to bend. -
A basic silicone grease, sold in tubes, should be fine. It squeezes out like a liquid and only needs a drop or two. Try a car spares shop for it. Also a magnifying glass comes in handy for checking for dust and fluff around the swivels.

Could you just print different size rings to go into the venturi inlet for engine testing purposes. After tests you could try your machining skills again.
