  1. Hi, the build should not be a problem for me its the setup of the naze that i would need help with! I think i may purchase a set next month as daughters birthday has left me broke this month!
  2. As mabx has stated bootcamp works a treat for me with realflight. The only software i use windows for now!
  3. Ohh my bad! Thanks for the edit and advice about the fourm tools!
  4. Hi its been a long time since ive flew quads, i have built a tbs discovery and ive got a blade 200qx. However now i want to build a decent "freestyle quad" would this be ideal to get me back into it?  Quad Link edited Edited By Steve Hargreaves - Moderator on 26/07/2018 21:32:42
  5. I have recently had my new shed and have built a collapsable work bench, however I was wondering if there is anything I can coat the top in just to try and give a hard layer of protection?
  6. Looking at the weight of the nimh pack im going to go for a life battery when i fly, wheelspin reccomended a 6v 2200mah and it works perfect but its 150g according to our scales at work and i can seriously reduce this weight with a LIFE battery around 1000mah
  7. Thanks Nigel i went to wheelspin models yesterday to see what they had, there life packs were very expensive so i just got a nimh pack to alow me to set up the paramiters on the transmitter and to finalise all servos. Now all i need to do is install battery holder, receiver and put a hook on the rudder for the tail wheel and it will be ready to (hopefully) fly!!
  8. Thats great info, I much prefer the look of the LIFE packs, and as you stated I always use a voltage monitor to let me know when I need to come in on my electrics 6.6V 1000mAh LiFePO4 Receiver RC Battery Vapex From what I can see my servos are rated from 4v-6v, these are 6.6v, would that effect them at all? and also can I charge these the same as lipos (I'm assuming yes as the seems to have a similar balance charge lead). Im assuming 1000mah will be enough for say 30minutes flight time at least? I would rather it be a tad lighter and buy a couple. Thanks again for all your help guys its really helped me with this build!
  9. Trebor ive not seen an acrowot fly in person but have seen a wot4 and it looked like so much fun!
  10. Thank you both! The paint job is alot rougher in real life but i an happy how it turned out! This may be a daft question but i have a frsky x8r and i cant see the power in, im assuming i just plug it in one of the eight channels?
  11. Hi guys, I thought I would post an update as I've started building again, I've finished all painting and connecting all servos and connecting all control surfaces. I have installed a fuel tank and not I just need to install a receiver (Frsky 6 channel) and add a battery and connect the tail wheel to the rudder. For the battery to power the servos do I need to get just a Nicad receiver battery? Im not sure what to do as I've only ever flown electric and I just plugged the lipo into the ESC. Thanks, Mike
