  1. Here's how you can make an RC battery for free. Obviously test them first and use the same capacity batteries.
  2. Wow, every weather site I go on to see whether it's going to be flyable I get Temu ads thrusting stuff at me, other people I know in the RC hobby have the same. It was one of my mates with an RC modelling building YouTube channel got one cheap first, which prompted me to try it. You have to be a new user to their app to get the deal and order through that. It worked for me.
  3. Cheap E58 drone offer from Temu. £29 drone for £2.79 Couldn't test fly as much as I'd have liked to as it was very lightweight and blew away at the slightest opportunity and we've had very few suitable days of late. Was it worth the money! 😆
  4. I wasn't crying. 😉 If you buy off the shelf models you can expect them to fly. If you build your own experimentals you never quite know what's going to happen, but it's much more fun and your learn more in the process. It was easily repaired and hopefully I'll sort the issue that caused it!
  5. The Twin Fusi cheapo Lidl foam chuck glider RC conversion, my no.9 build, finally took to the air. Very briefly. 🤨
  6. The build has not been without it's problems, especially balancing the motors. That issue warranted its own video. But my twin fusi Lidl RC version is now ready to fly! PS I corrected the spelling of 'fuselage', but Facebook hasn't caught up yet. 😞
  7. Here's a tip I wanted to share. Maybe some of the old modellers know this anyway! But may be useful to some. My cheap RC Lidl twin fusi will be maidened soon. PS I made a short! 🙂 link here
  8. They are great fun for converting, 9 made now! I didn't have a lot of success with my twin boom prop pusher, still trying to get it to fly well. Watch this space. Have you tried biplane? That was a challenge.
  9. Yes, a good idea. I have never bothered as they have always just worked up until this time. I will in future you can bet!
  10. Unforunately not a matched pair of ESC's. That would have been better. Matched pair of motors though..
  11. My latest RC build turned out to be a real challenge, though I got there in the end after many hours of searching and frustration. Took a good few hours to figure it out, but I learned something anyway. 😔.
  12. Hi Rich, both my Mini F22 and full size version are also just flat 5 mm foam board.
  13. Dead cheap! This one here is my own Mini version of the bigger Flight Test F22 so it'll come out of an A2 foam board sheet. I scaled down their plans to 25% with Adobe Acrobat, PLUS I simplified the original nose to make a really simple and lighter build. Build blog is here
  14. My Lidl RC conversion No. 9, the Twin Boom version, is making good progress AND the motors have now arrived so I can finish the job. Part 2 AND THE MAIDEN SOON!
  15. My Lidl chuck glider RC conversion Biplane had a windy outing again after a few trim changes. Wanted to see if it would loop! Build blog and earlier test flights are on my channel. Biplanes are complicated!
  16. I pushed the boat out and bought one of these cheap, (£14 😟) , EPP SU30's for a bit of fun. Differential steering and height controlled by throttle. Wasn't expecting much success really, the last cheapo EPP was uncontrollable. Was this one any better?
  17. Good review here. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3139424-Flysky-FS2A-4-channel-mini-receiver-from-BG
  18. This is what it says online? Support: FS-I6, FS-I6X, FS-I6S, FS-TM8, FS-TM10, FS-I10 and other AFHDS 2A protocol transmitter
  19. Very affordable receiver, £5 delivered. I've used a few of these in lightweight stuff and they do the job! Just 2.6 gms. My video shows how to solder the pins and how to bind.
  20. My Lidl chuck glider 'Spitfire' RC conversion gets a new look. Build blog for the Lidl Spitfire is also on my channel.
