  1. So setup and Bind a first Model (Spektrum DX6 Tx) Then setup and Bind a second one, with different Rx. If I then want to fly the first Model would I have to re Bind it? I did ask google but the results wernt clear.
  2. The Eflite Valient will be my second flying model. When I flew many years ago I flew the Multiplex Twinstar. It was steady and to my flying skills at the time it was too fast with Rudder Elevator and Aileron control. Trouble was my Simulator at the time only had very few Electric flyers and they wernt very realistic. 2007 I think it was. So now am back with a new Simulator a Real Flight 9 that has very many electric flyers Am plan to get after much deliberation an Eflite Valient with AS3X/SAFE Also have ordered some Eflite Timber Tundra wheels to fit on it as my Clubs fields can be a bit rough.
  3. More puzzlement Here also is a Battery for UMX Timber https://www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk/280mah-2s-30c-lipo-for-f-16 Not showing any Balancer lead though?
  4. I did find on the net a charger for UMX Timber but I cant find it now. Also it came without a power lead, would this be because the lead is a 'figure of eight' power lead? Anyone can give me a clue on where or how best to power the Timber thanks in advance.

    DX6 Tx

Ah thanks Guys, I think I was worrihg that changing model Type Say from Aero to Helicopter would change the entire use of the Tx and all previous models would have to be saved to some undefined memory. I prefered Futaba for User friendly content but bought Spektrum for its AS3X.

System Setup - Under Model Type I get this message saying if I choose Model Type then all will be deleted in the current model memory? Does this mean my first model will be deleted or does it just refer to it the second Highlighted Model that I am creating? Anyone help please, computers like things just right nowadays! IMPORTANT: When you select a new model type, you will delete any programming data in the current model memory. Always confirm the desired model memory before changing model types. It will be necessary to re-bind after resetting the model type IMPORTANT: When you select a new model type, you will delete any programming data in the current model memory. 7. How difficult is it to programme a Spektrum 6ch AS3X Sport Rx SPMAR636 Am planning on getting an FMS Kingfisher and want the AS3X control for it but it has to be programmed has anyone had any expirience of this procedur, if you could throw some light on the subject I would be most gratefull.
  8. Thanks thats good to know. I am returning to model flight from several years ago when there was no AS3X so am keen to learn all I can about it. My Flight Simulator a Real Flight 9 would suggest my skills have improved though I have yet to test this for real at the flying field. I have rejoined my old Club and am hoping to get advice and instruction there soon. Have put together and progrmmed Tx for an Eflite Maule M7 though am worried its a bit large for transportation. I guess there is always preflight worries with this hobby.
  9. Some wooly thinking here on my part. So if my model is on SAFE mode and upside down I think that SAFE would try to correct it to level flight but if I also have low rates on would SAFE obey low rate control or opperate at higher rates to get the model level as soon as possible. I dont have a Model set up at present so cannot do a test. Edited By P J Hearne on 10/02/2020 03:37:16
  10. Hi Chris thanks for reply. I have a new Spektrum DX6 Tx and only thought so far is to get a Spektrum Rx.6 ch.
  11. The Kingfisher has a quick release tailplane and is shorter in length than the Maule, if I add the wheels at the flying field box should be about 6 x 10 x 34. Have rejoined 2 flying clubs Maidenhead Radio Modellers and Thames Vally Silent Flyers. Have joined BMFA and passed Flight Competency test on paper and joined CAA. Have Real Flight 9 flight simulator Am trying to get everything in place so I shall have no excuses for not taking the A test for solo flight. Was easily disheartened on my previous flying so am taking things more seriously now I hope. Edited By Chris Bott - Moderator on 08/02/2020 07:57:07
  12. Thanks for reply Simon, the big problem is I did not notice the size of the Maule. I like to build a box for my models and one for the Maule with wings off would be 20 by 14 inches. I live in a block of flats and parking is often tight. The Twinstar box was 14 by 14 so I definitely dont want bigger. It was great to put together and it is top quality. Am almost set now on getting a FMS Kingfisher for the summer season of flight.
  13. So am returning to Model flight after a long break. I once flew the Multiplex Twinstar. Returning to the Hobby and full of overconfidence I bought an Eflite Maule M7 Now its all put together and ready for flight I find its not suitable, mostly its just to big and also its a Scale model. All the electrics are just fine I dont have the box though. So, any ideas anyone. I dont want to keep it to just gather dust.
