  1. Hi all Ive been unable to fly my little carbon cub in the field over the way over summer. Hopefully they will turn it over soon and leave a flattish bit for me to operate from 🙂 Ive been busy since early this year scratch building this model ejection seat. I know its not an aircraft, but it could fit in one !!😜 So, who of you have a scale F-35 Lightning almost ready to go but needs an ejection seat 🤣 I dont know the scale, I just started making it and it came out at around 19 inches tall, its HUGE ! I made it with the help of Martin Baker who provided some images and other details. I built 2 and they have the other one, though its not as detailed as my one as I wanted to go to town on mine. Seat is completely scratch built from aluminium, brass and SS fittings, webbings and other materials. Hope you like it ( even if it isn't an RC aircraft ) Thanks for looking in. Carl
  2. Thank you. just found a UK dealer here for Xicoy so will take a look.
  3. Hi All Im thinking of splurging on a gas turbine engine from https://www.stirlingkit.com/ https://www.stirlingkit.com/collections/turbine-engine does anyone have any experience with this company and with the SWIWIN range of engines ? Thank you Carl
  4. I popped a 4 bladed prop on it. It goes like crazy now. LOL Had some great fun with it today flying into wind, with flaps down it was barely moving and landing on a dime Propeller (P-51) (10x7.5) ARRPROP002 And I just bought a NX6 so that should be here Monday.... now the tough part of choosing the next model
  5. Dunno how to re-set the ESC with the DXs I've noticed that with the trim button in the neutral position, the motor wont fire up till its reached one of the lines on the gimble. Maybe 5mm ? I'm wondering If at some stage I have inadvertently adjusted/re-calibrated the sticks somehow. I can of course bring the throttle down with the trim bit im wondering if ive lost 10 % power as it is.
  6. all four batteries give the same affect in the air. I will try reset/calibrate the esc but im struggling to find any info
  7. Ah ok, thanks Matty. Ill try dig out that info.
  8. I had a prang the other day where the battery fell out during a loop, detached from the connector and the cub hit the deck nose first shortly after the battery. There wasnt much damage to fix but now although the plane is flying great, it seems to be slower than before. Same batteries, same charge etc etc. I wonder if the nose dive in to the field has damaged the motor ? Is that possible ? The motor spools up fine, isnt binding or making any strange noises. Or maybe Ive missed something else ? Ta
  9. Hi folks Ive been enjoying the Carbon Cub, Its had a few spills but is easy to repair. Todays crash was a loop, followed by the battery coming out of its housing and disconnecting. The plane nosed dived into the field shortly after the battery hit the deck LOL Anyway, Im now thinking of another model to fly. However, I'm lost in the myriad of options and aircraft on offer. If I give you a brief maybe you nice folks can guide me ! ? Foam Big Electric Scale-ish Big wheels for rough terrain. I fly from the fields at the back of my house but they are rough ! Flaps - quick take off and short landings on the rough. Id like to carry on using Spektrum stuff ( I will buy a new radio ) I like the SAFE system. ( not the gps , just the back to level flight ) Ive found it invaluable when Ive got out of my depth. A quick flick of the switch and its back. Any high wing military planes suitable ? I really fancy a Lancaster ? So I guess I'm looking for something I can put Spektrum gear into or is there something ready to go that might fit the bill ? Ta all Upkeep
