DAVIES CHARLTON Engine Nos and Dating. Many thanks to: Martin, Robin and Engine Doctor for your interest and info given regarding my little DC Merlin. In my head as i said in my original post i bought it in the 60's pretty sure it would have been 60 / 65. The cylinder fins are very finely turned and the casting is smooth, fitting in with the Engine Doctors description of the early 60's Merlin. Thanks again to you all. I'm new to your forum so hi everyone my name is Bryan and and i'm into all things modelling. Can someone help me date a DC Merlin .75cc Quick Start [now removed] engine No 4137. My 74 yr old memory tells me it's from the 1960's. It powered a Mercury Magna free flight plane and it ran extremely well. Many thanks in anticipation for any help offered. Bryan.
