    Recovering the XL has now recommenced. I’ve not been entirely happy with the underside of the elevator but at least it won’t show. Hope to get all the tail area finished today. The fuselage sides and that bit is almost done. Pictures to follow in the week 📸

    Beautiful day , went to the field, ignition box packed up, went home after a couple of hours, stayed on terra firma 🤐

    I know I had to trim mine a little on the bottom corners. It could be the formers don't quite match. Flew it last weekend. Much, much better now that the twist is out of the upper port wing/aileron. Took off straight as an arrow. The baffling works and it went through the noise test easily.

    Rudder and elevators are now covered with nylon. The fuselage is ready to cover but it’s now too cold at the moment to work in the garage. I now have plenty of dope and thinner to complete everything.....when it gets above 1c 🥶 in the workshop

    Finally.....Finally got some flying in today. Took a flying mate up to Davidstow. I took the red / white Maxford USA 1/3 moth and the other is a Toni Clark/ Practical Scale. Bitter cold 🥶

    Finally got a full day at the club today. Had two great flights with a newly acquired and re-engined Sig 1/4 Clipped wing Cub. It’s great fun and suitably aerobatic 😀

    I have to say that I’ve sold my Stampe that began this thread 🥺...I got involved in a part exchange for a 1/3 scale Tigermoth. Im glad I started this thread and it’s been great fun doing it.
