  1. Thanks, that is along the lines of what I had heard, we shall see if permision to purchase is forthcoming from "The Managemant" Cheers
  2. Hi, Finally some phots and flies well on a Saito 82, thanks for your help
  3. I am thinking of buying this model and several people have suggested that it would be over powered for scale like flying with the recommended 45cc size moto. Has anyone any experience of this model or any thoughts about an appropriate engine size. Thanks in advance
  4. Hi No it isn't the one on Ebay. I have every intention of flying it before deciding whether to keep it or not, but I do rather like it. Cheers
  5. Hi, thanks for the replies, I will post some photos as soon as we get a nice enough day to get it out into the Garden. Up here it is cold, wet, snowy and miserable. I think I may take an OS 90 or Saito 125 from other models and try them all. Cheers Bill
  6. Hi, I was given a tatty Lysander which I have tarted up considerably and I am now wondering about a choice of engine. The model has an 86inch span and weighs in at 10.5 Llbs I was thinking of using a Saito 82a which is looking for a project and I wondered if this would be powerful enough. I am looking for scale like performance in keeping with the original, not sparkling aerobatics. All thoughts gratefully received
  7. Finally! thanks for the link to your build, where all my questions appear to be answered.   Thanks again   Bill
  8. Hi again, I think a 90Fs is going to have to be acquired .  When you did your paint job, which is a 100% improvement on the original, were there any special requirements?  Did the existing covering take the paint  ok and what preparation was required, etching possibly? Sorry to be a nuisance but it is worthwhile getting the looks as good as you can.   Thanks again   Bill
  9. Thanks for the photos, very nice indeed, any more info regarding this model would be greatly appreciated. e.g. can you fit flaps and how?  I have a RCV 60 engine, would that be to small?   Regardsd Bill
  10. Hi, I tried but I dont think I was successful. However I have just seen photos of this model in Galleries under Sportsman Aviation Spit and I shall try to contact that member. Thanks for your help. I,m afraid I am not very clued up on I.T. Cheers
  11. I have just acquired a spitfire, which is new and assembled, but I have no way of identifying it. I wonder if it is the same one as in this forum.   Wingspan 1650,    Length without spinner   1250, retracts fitted, no flaps and a darkish blue underside,(similar to some of the Kyosho kits)  definitely not eggshell.  But I cannot find a Kyosho of this size mentioned anywhere. Can anyone identify this for me and also suggest a suitabke engine?   Thanks
  12. Hi, I have been reading posts about the priory models reflection, but unfortunately I cannot find my way back to them, and so I wondered if anyone could spare the time to offer some advice to an inexperienced builder?  I have just been given a kit for this model and although I have not started it yet a few problems seem apparent  to me.   How do you connect the servos to the ailerons, there is no advice given at all in the instructions. Do you / can you mount a second servo in the top wing as well as the lower?  Do you have to thread snakes through the foam wings, and do you use cranks??  Does the top wing remove for transport?? I know that these are probably pretty obvious but they are causing concern. Also any general advice about this kit, and photos of finished projects, would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
