Just got back from a Christmas and New Year break in the real world, and find that Orkney is freezzinng! Just flew back on one of the Islander Aircraft in 20 kt wind and fog.  Quite exciting, even for my level of flying. Hi Folks,   Over a year on from the start of this thread, I see that Dave says the Ch 6 rotator dial is difficult to centre. It definitely is, so I drilled a 2mm hole through from top to bottom, and glued a small nail in the hole. This is easy to feel and see, and gives an instant guide to where the flaps will be for any model. Set them correctly before flying, and you know where to adjust before take-off, for climb-out, for flight, and for landing. Should be easy. I find my plane wallows a lot with flaps down for landing. HI Folks,   Thank you so much for your comments and encouragement. If this goes on at this rate I will have to make a book out of it. Patricia has my sympathies, too, lots and lots. I will try and send in a picture of her, and you will see what a lucky chap I am. The Sunderland Gouge flaps are a problem which I need help with. I have pics and a plan I can email if you need further help in understanding my comments.  Thanks again,   Martyn
