  1. A free one that I use, is Photoscape. I use it a lot, just put. Photoscape into your browser, to find it.
  2. Ian. I converted my old 35 Mhz Futaba FP-T8UP to 2.4 Ghz some years ago, using the Corona Futaba (full range) conversion module with no problems. So all my models have corona receivers fitted. The Futaba corona module ( will not fit ) the TURNIGY TJY 9X it’s the wrong shape. The JR Corona module ( Will ) fit. And also ( Binds ) with the Corona receivers that are in my models. Thus saving me a considerable amount of money, on the cost of replacing with new ones. A new 8ch Corona receiver, from GC at this time, is around £13.00p. If you have to buy new module and receivers. There are several options now on the market that will fit into the TURNIGY TJY 9X . The FrSky set up also has a good write up at this time. So shop around. Reg’ . . . Wor’keith.
  3.   Hi. ( I chose the Lipo option, have used them for some years .)   I’ve had my TJY 9X Transmitter about 3 weeks now. Have fitted the smartyparts board and a backlight. No real problems, some minor soldering. I’ve also removed the Turnigy Module on the back (only the gray aerial lead to cut). And replaced it with a JR (Corona) module, it’s a push fit, with no modifications.! It cost £11.60p, from GC. I had been using a Corona (Futaba) 2.4 module, in a very old FP-T8UP that has reached the end of its days. The 8 channel CR8D receivers that were being used with the (Corona  Futaba  module, in my models, all work, (re-bind) with the new (Corona ‘JR ‘module.)    The other modification was fitting a Gens Ace 1800mah 3S 20C from GC £10.53p. A tight, but perfect fit in my new TURNIGY TJY 9X Transmitter. Had to (modify the connectors, using 3mm bullet.) also used an added 2 Cell Balance type Lead, from GC 34p, in order to plug it into the transmitter. ( be sure to connect the +(positive red) from the battery, into the (middle ) pin in the 2cell connector, which is white on the plug that I used. cut off the red outside lead on this little plug.) Maybe this will be of some help. . . . Wor’keith.     Edited By Wor'Keith on 31/10/2012 11:54:40 Edited By Wor'Keith on 31/10/2012 11:56:46

  5. Unfortunately . . Roving NE1 . reporter Ken, ex News of the world & a pending candidate to go in front of the ‘Levinson’ enquiry, for his more than ‘colourful’ reporting. Failed to add, that he had twiddled with the ‘tranny,‘ wires, and stated that it seemed OK now!. A good day, great to meet up with the gang again. Wor Keith. . . 6. Managed to get down to the bay . . Yesterday 4.0 O’clock ish, knew from local forecast that it would be ‘wild’ but hoped that the wind would have eased off a little. Enrico . John . Roger, were the last men standing. Enrico was flying his M60, in testing conditions. John was flying another . ‘Plank’ . ending in the back field on arrival. Rogers . ‘Zaggi’ had long been retired to the car. Wind meter reading on the lip’ was av’ 30+ mph. Just on the wrong side of N. (Well out of my. ( Weasels) . comfort zone). Wind forecast looks wrong side of N. for today. Sunday looks a maybe. . . . Wor’ Keith.

  8. Hi John. Good to see you yesterday, if only for a short time. As you know, I had the 3 . . Grand kids . . With me, but managed to get in a pleasant 30 min’s flying, while the kid’s explored the ‘rock pools’. It was . . Enrico & (Mike), I saw as I drove along the bay road.  A HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! ! To you and your Father both. Hope you have a good day. Pleased that you got in a decent flight. . . . Catch you next time perhaps.  Have the children all weekend!!  But will try to get to the club BBQ. If only for a brief visit . P.S. Lolly’s (Laure’s) . . . Nettle stings were duly sorted with a (Dock leaf,) on the way home. He He. . . . . . Wor’Keith.
  9. Monday. - Last chance, to. . . (Literally) . . . ‘Fly the flag‘. Late session, (night shift), 5.pm . . N-end Collywell Bay. Low tide light 6-7 mph, S-SE breeze with a little turbulence, again brilliant evening sunshine. An enjoyable soaring interval for me, between the ball games.    Fingers . . X . . for . . . . ‘WEDNESDAY’.      HTP info’ The . . . ‘Bay’ . . . has run out of wind until the weekend ?   . . . . . Wor’Keith.

  11. Collywell bay . ( North end ) Thursday 17th . . After a busy day. And between football matches, finally got out to enjoy the . Brilliant ‘Sunshine’. 6 - 8mph S SE. ( ALULA weather ). High tide, with the sea up to the ‘breakwater’  (Not advisable really)!!         As no . ‘Safety margin’ if you get it wrong.   But with the encouragement of the . . ‘Rev James’.       had an enjoyable little session . . . Flying with the gulls. As you can see . . . Landing space here is . . ‘challenging’ . . somewhat !! The rest of the . HTP . Team ( All really good . ’Power flyers’. I assume  were soaking up the sun, on the Blyth flying field !! Forecast for the . . ‘Bay’ . . for Saturday is good… … ( I’m on Granddad duty this weekend ) so will be otherwise occupied. 14. Thanks . . Kenny for that excellent report.   A great days . HTP .flying . . Enjoyed by us all !!!     I do try to get my arrival . . ‘Time parameters ‘ correct, but unfortunately . . . The quantum mechanical ‘Quirk’ navigator, in my ‘TARDIS’ has been retarded somewhat while passing through a cosmic ‘wormhole’. Hence the . . ‘Time Delay Lag’. As you well know KEN. . I am your . . No 1 fan.   And with this in mind. Nominate you here and now . . for the . HTP. Photographic . . (DWARF MAKER) . . of the year award.  A super days flying! . . . . . . Wor’Keith.
  15. Thanks . . John. We really are privileged to live in this beautiful area of the . ‘North East’. These little vid’s . . could be a lot better.   With some sort of . . ( simple) Stabilising mount. Will give it some thought. . . . . Wor’Keith.
  16. An . . ‘ALULA’ . first. Got down to Collywell . . Just after 3.00, wind was . E-SE. Went around to the ‘Butt’s, . . Enrico was just returning from a flying session with his ‘Easyglider Pro’ V light breeze . 4 - 5 mph. (had lost KENNY).   Forecast in the morning , was for the wind to increase around 1600 hrs, and come around more to NE.   After light refreshment. Ahmmm.    Returned to Collywell 16.30 hrs. Wind had picked up a little but still E-SE. Decided to try the . . ’North end’ . . of the bay. (A first for me). As you can see it’s a ’Breakwater’, at the rear is a V steep grass bank (Bowel shaped). Wind av 7 - 8mph. ‘ALULA’ went up for 30mins . . decent lift, would be interesting to find out just what the limits are in this spot. Maybe one of the gang could check it out (Easyglider-Powered). With a little more wind. . . The ‘Guppy’s’ . . . I think would love it !! Went home feeling well ‘Chuffed’. . . . . . Wor’Keith.
