  1. I cant believe it after everything ive been through with this company i STILL gave them another chance (Im going to heaven) I ordered 2 items both went through payment taken only one arrived the other? Yep, out of stock! Does this guy run it from a garden shed they never have anything in? Id love to hear a response from them, but after the response i got from them at the Grantham model show last year there's no chance, all i got was shrugged shoulders and a cocky smirk! So another shop got my £250.............
  2. I hope Al DOES read this, i ended up ordering the model from the Model shop in Leeds, helpful speedy, accurate info and willing. What more do you need?   Watch and learn Al, well done Leeds   John
  3. I have a clamp meter for measuring current but its aimed more at higher ranges, is there a 'common' meter you guys use or recommend?   John
  4. The 3 cell packs are 2100mAh by the way.....   John
  5. Thanks chaps, am i right in thinking that its the max current drawn x the battery voltage = the wattage?   The motor advert says its 500 watts+ so im guessing as long as i stay around that figure things will get on ok right?   Im using Emax 20C 3 cell packs.     John
  6. Got caught out for the 3rd time (and last) ordered a new plane from their web site, only to be emailed thats its not in stock.   SO TAKE IT OFF THE DAMN SITE THEN!!!!!!!   Was my reply, hmmm no answer on that one! Suprise suprise.....   Needless to say Als Hobbies is off my bookmark list!
  7. I have an Acromaster thats almost finished, with an Turnigy 42-40 900kv outrunner installed.    My question is can anyone recommend a prop  to suit?   Thanks in advance  John
  8. As usual (three times now) Als Hobbies have let me down by allowing you to order stuff online then email you saying its not available, last time i shop there!   Anyone know where i can find a decent shop that sells the 260 in the UK, ive had a search but alas can only find them in the States?   Regards John
  9. Any one recommend a brushless for the Fliton 260 mini, it weighs in at 650ish grams, i have an Emax BL2215/20 going spare i think it'd cope ok but aren't sure, any suggestions?   Thanks in advance John
  10. Hi Owen, looks like i can slowly morph my CP into a Trex, its amazing how many bits fit with little or no mods needed! I persuaded a friend to remove the head and shaft from his Trex and put it on my CP, not sure he'll get it back now mind!   Roll on those light nights....... Cheers Owen   John
  11. Ive been reading on other forums about the VERY hit and miss quality of the cnc heads for sale on ebay. My question is has anyone fitted a Trex V2 complete head assembly to a Belt CP, as the quality seems much better.   John
  12. Thanks for the info Vinnie parts ordered (added on some SG90 servos too for good measure). Thinking of doing the 'direct to swash' mod but only thinking so far.  John
  13. I think youve got it spot on Vinnie, im thinking the belt was too slack too. This is further confirmed by the fact that for no good reason 2 or 3 times the tail has spun violently usually on take off. I was starting to think it was the new HH gyro id fitted but having found the cog in that state, its pretty conclusive. I guess theres some info on how tight it should be on here i'll take a look. Cheers John
  14. Sorry vince completly missed a bit out, the one im after is the small cog that drives the tail belt mines completly devoid of teeth
  15. My Belt CP has a worn drive cog at the motor end, is there a replacement from another heli (there usualy is) thats a better quality then the belts play-doe one? John
