  1. So assuming all three axis are used, elevator, aileron and rudder... Do the aileron and rudder go the same way (eg. both sticks to the right (assuming mode 2)) ? Or is it right aileron with left rudder or vice versa? Edited By Andy Mc on 23/06/2013 00:21:06
  2. We had a discussion at the field the other day about the correct way to do a flick roll or snap roll. The were several thoughts on the matter, so I was wondering.... Is there a "trusted" combination in moving the sticks? Is there a right or wrong way to flick? Edited By Andy Mc on 22/06/2013 20:24:45
  3. I can't advise on the Cambrian Spit I'm afraid, as I've no experience of it. But, have you considered retracts from Hobbyking? They're much cheaper and there are multiple sizes/types available: Retract BTW. On the video of the full size Spit, I thought it was interesting that she landed without deploying flaps, is this common? Edited By Pete B - Moderator on 21/05/2013 11:20:09
  4. Posted by Devon Flyer on 22/04/2013 20:09:46: Wonder why it had no markings? Or maybe they were just too difficult to spot at speed? Edited By Devon Flyer on 22/04/2013 20:23:20 Could've been difficult to see because of the light and speed. Although I think there's a 4th aircraft being refurbished for the team and it possibly may have been that one that hadn't had the markings applied yet.
  5. I'd hazard a guess that it could have been an L-29 Delfin of the new "Red Star Rebels" display team. They're being refurbished (I think) just across the water from Chivenor at St Athan.

  8. I've always had great success with Tamiya "smoke" spray, gives great tinted canopies, and a can will do a few canopies. Spray it using light "dusting" coats, 2 or 3 coats will give a good tint that can still be seen through (I use a Voltspy inside the cockpit).   Edited By Andy Mc on 14/04/2013 15:58:43
  9. A friend has suggested that it's available on ebay (the velcro not the used nappies!). But how can you tell if it's the smaller hook & loop? So many sellers use a "generic" type photo, and the descriptions measurements don't always give much away. I already have way too much of the bigger heavier duty velcro (great for securing bigger lipo packs, but not much use for the little E-flite cells.
  10. Posted by WolstonFlyer on 21/03/2013 12:56:24: Hi Andy The digital version works on my Android based Samsung Galaxy S3 phone with a small screen (4.5" so I would think it is much better on a Nexus7. Hope this helps. Thanks WF, I've now ordered one, so I hope it's readable on the 7" screen. Thanks for the help.
  11. I've subscribed to the digital issue due to tightening purse strings because of disability and coming out of work, (but that's another story). It's great to view on my PC in the dining room but I prefer to read in the lounge or in bed, so I'm thinking of trying a tablet computer along the lines of a Google Nexus 7 (if funds allow). The bigger iPad is much too expensive for my budget, so I'm hoping the 7" Nexus screen will suffice. Does anybody here view the digital RCM&E on a tablet? What's your verdict? Are there any issues/problems to look out for? All the best Andy
