M6MUG gone now 2E0MUG for about 6 weeks now, Still using 10w 2m but the 50w for HF is very welcome. now working towards my full licence it might take a while, although there is no time limit its a hobby but it is also a goal i want to achive. 73s for now.

hi David the M6 test (foundation) is the first of three to get you started and "extreemly" difficult to pass you need to be able to get to a course the hardest part is trying to decide how many suger to put in your coffee and parting with the cash. Eric there is no way I would spent 6 or 7 hundred pound for a s/h set on ebay I was looking at going for a Yaesu FT897D a bit pricey for a first set but I only want to do it once I dont want to out-grow my first set in the first year or two.

Hi Eric just to let you know I have passed my M6 licence today I have to wait for the paper =work to go through then I can apply for my call sign I will let you know it when I have it. just got to stop spending money on rc then I might be able to get a radio.

Steve i was listening to a repeater site on a hand held scanner hooked up to an aerial 40ft up a pole. thanks for the morse link eric i know its not a requirement for the course but if i want to progress i am going to need it so i just as well start now then its there for when i do have to have it and it would be fun to play with. sorry for high-jacking you thread i should take this over to your qso's thread really.

Hi Dorset flyer and wrlcome to the best rc forum site in the uk. Where abouts in dorset are you, i fly at hurn on wide open terf fields the grass is never longer than 3/4" long and very flat its a great site if your local give me a shout. Jim Lacey used to be a member of our club but i havent seen him around for a while i dont even know if he still flys planks which is a shame becouse hes a fantastic pilot.
