Paul Marsh
Are you using the right plug? ideally four stokes are best with a OS type "F" or a dedicated four stroke plug.
Phil 9
I am using os type f plugs.

Phil 9
I started with the top end needle two turns out from fully closed is this way to lean?
Phil 9
are saitos very sensitive to tank position? mine is not quite level to the carb
Alan Cantwell
screw it out a lot more, start it, then screw it in, and if it cuts, its got a blockage, have you tried blowing the needle through??
Phil 9
I just tried blowing through the needle but seems fine.
Alan Cantwell
blown through the feed from the tank? the third line to the silencer nipple, blow down that, see if its hard to get the fuel through,
Rusty C
Have you tried the "pinch" test Get the motor running let it warm up, Then pinch the fuel off at the carb. It should run for no longer than 2 to 3 sec's. If it runs passed that then she is way to rich, possibly at low end. Is there a stock setup to go to. Alan Cantwell
try sealing it first, you may be wasting money.

Alan Cantwell
the sealant is only a temp measure, also check the gasket under the join to the head, if its gone, bit of paper made into a gasket, and soaked in oil will make a good seal, while we are at it, check the tappet gap, should be .025-.1mm check this at TDC,
