How many flyable models do you have?

Two years ago I had 35 models ready to fly of various kinds, some have been sold and some of those have been replaced with others.

I currently have 27 in flying condition with 7 others in various states of completion.

I'm trying to slim down the fleet and concentrate more on quality over quantity but, there is always a new temptation around every corner and I get bored very easily.

However, storage is becoming a major problem and more models have been put on the for sale list. Also, keeping track of all the batteries of different sizes is becoming something of a headache.

Not as many as I'd like.... just 9 that are in 'grab and go' state; about a dozen that would need an rx bunging in; about a half dozen that need minor repairs; four that need significant repair; two part way through a refurb; one part built; two in boxes unbuilt.

And a pile in the garage in indeterminate state that I doubt I'll ever fly again for various reasons..... e.g. an exceptionally tatty mini Funtana that may or may not be missing a cowl. And that hasn't been touched (apart from a house move) in over a decade.

Must make a plan......

Never say Never GG!  The Dark Nights Fix Up Thread has been an inspiration to me, providing the impetus to resurrect models that had been in the repair or refurb pile for up to a couple of decades. It's a great feeling to put an aeroplane back in the air again that has suffered a mishap and been in limbo for a long time. The Mini Funtana is a great wee flyer and possible candidate for a 2ltr milk carton cowl.

You're right Leccy.. what I need is inspiration from toto to upgrade my workshop so I can stay in it for more than 15 minutes 🙂

If I ever get round to it, some of the models in the garage will never be fixed... e.g. a small DR1 that flew like a brick, and a bad brick at that! I guess if I culled those, it'd be less intimidated...
