Bob Bertram
Not quite so expensive fuel-wise but great fun anyway: Stampe SV4C near EGTO L200 Morava, I did manage a waggle of this, fantastic! Landfall, no fuel required. (Apart from a pint or two afterwards!!) Cheers Bob

Ian Jones
Look out for one of the original Mustangs - in RAF markings of course and Corsairs (once we taught the yanks how to land 'em on aircraft carriers they started using them for their intended purpose too). Mike Etheridge 1
I think the Mustang designed on the back of a cigarette packet was originally produced for us the British? MJE
001
Might have put this on before, but I am a bit rusty. As a practice. Not the best quality but taken through a closed window, tried it open but the bird was too wary.

Ian Jones
Surreal, like it Chris. So many photographs I take are intended for rather "matter of fact" purposes that the opportunity to be artistic gets pushed into the background but I like to dabble when I can. Ultymate
Just one from this morning too cold to be out there and the light's pants, back in the den now with the log stove on full throttle Edited By Ultymate on 06/12/2012 11:58:
001
There is a story behind this one, many years ago I was given an album of old photographs. They were taken during a motor tour of the French Alps in the Grenoble area, probably before the first World War. They were of very high quality, probably taken on glass slides. The car is visible in a lot of pics but despite the inclusion of the British registration I have been unable to find the make of car. Copied all the photos and researched their locations. I then sent the album to Grenoble town hall......... This is a small part of one picture, apparently taken in the square at Nyons. The attitude of and expressions on the men's faces says it all. 001
I have now looked at Nyons by Google street view and the square seems to be 'Place de la Liberacion, which obviously has changed a great deal in 100 years, but the shape of some of the arches can still be seen as part of some shops and bars. Incidentally I also have similar copies from the same time of photos of Veynes, Tain l'Hermitage, Embrun in France. and other places nearby. If anyone knows the area I am looking for a place or installation called 'Seychillumies' which appears to be a dam or hydro-electric station. Having looked hard at the car again, the number is written 59 - HH so it might not be a British car,but I know the photographer was.......... 001
This is the car I mentioned. On a 'road' in the Grenoble area. (A bit stretched!!) I have also identified the square in Nyons, it is Place des Arcades and still looks similar. There is a plaque on a wall under one of the arches there where a resistance member was captured. Mike Etheridge 1
Good full frontal Ultymate---we had a male Bull Finch in the garden on Friday last right by our patio door but no suitable camera. We don't often see Bull Finches. Mike

001
I showed this at a Photographic club after hours of work in a darkroom. Most of them liked it but a few said that I should have left the picture as it was, missing the point, I think. Edited By Chris P. Bacon on 11/12/2012 08:30:34 Wow, takes a great deal of patience to get a result like that, it's a work of art; photographs should be works of art IMHO and are worth more than something that just technically correct. Garbo, Is there a pot of gold in that car where the rainbow lands?
