Erfolg
Good news for your predictions. The FIA have done the right thing, any cars porpoising outside a set limit will be subjected to a penalty. Introduced as as a Safety Issue. The lobbying by Mercedes to require all cars to have an increased ride height was rejected by both the majority of other teams and FIA. John Privett
Evening all... Another weekend, another continent, and this time we're in Canada. Or at least the race is in Canada, I'm not! So, the usual reminder - and as Montréal is 5 hours behind UK time we have a little more time to do this, but; Don't forget your predictions! P1 saw Verstappen setting fastest time ahead of Sainz, Alonso, Perez and Leclerc. Russell was next ahead of Stroll and then Hamilton. P2 has just finished and again Verstappen set fastest time, this time ahead of Leclerc and Sainz. Russell could only manage 7th, and Hamilton 13th. P3 is tomorrow at 6pm UK-time, with qualifying at 9pm. The race on Sunday is at 7pm UK-time. Bonne chance à tous!

John Privett
Evening all... I'll delay clicking the "Submit" button until the Channel 4 coverage is winding-down... Whilst equal on 1291 points, fantasygp lists Iqon as 1st, and Tony as 2nd. Whether or not they're really equal first, it literally couldn't be closer... The next places remain unchanged until we get to 7th which is now occupied by Simon, moving up 1, and displacing Charles to 8th. Kev takes a giant leap of 5 places to 9th, with the GrumpGnome slipping a place to 10th. John T and Stu both move up a place to 11th and 12th respectively, meaning that Zoonie drops 2 places to 13th, and Ade drops 4 places to 14th. Last place remains unchanged! John Privett
Thanks, Chris! So, following Alonso's post-race penalty some of us have gained a few points, some have lost a few, and for some there's no change. Iqon's new score of 195 is even more impressive, and the global high-score on the day was 225. Erfolg
Looks like those of you with Mercedes and probably Lewis, could now be on the upward direction. That is at least on tracks with long straights, with George having being told not to challenge Lewis (the same instruction that RB and Ferrari have previously issued). In addition Wolff has certainly not given up on hamstringing both RB and Ferrari to win the championship. Now has one of his ex-legal team in the FIA, and is still trying to get changes that require other teams to reconfigure their cars. Game is still on! John Privett
Evening all! Silverstone this weekend, and before anything else, the customary reminder; Don't forget your predictions! P1 started in the wet, and ended with a red flag as Stroll crashed when everybody was switching to slicks. Only Bottas and Hamilton set times on slicks and they headed the chart. P2 saw rather faster times in the dry, with Hamilton again second - this time from Sainz, with Norris third and Verstappen 4th. Have Mercedes now caught up with Ferrari and R-B? P3 is at noon (UK time) tomorrow, with qualifying and the race both at 3pm on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Good luck everyone!

McG 6969
Thanks John P. It looks indeed like Merc has improved somewhat with their upgrades at Silverstone. John Privett
Chris - I think there's a fairly high chance of rain at Silverstone this afternoon, but Sunday is forecast to be dry. I'm just a little over 100 km from Silverstone, and the weather we've been having in the past few days has been very changeable and very localised. I went out for a bike ride on Thursday evening, and the forecast was showing a very low chance of rain. But on my return, getting close to home, I found the roads becoming increasingly wet, and eventually there was a little light rain, and by then there were huge pools of water on the road. Apparently I'd missed a torrential - and rather local - downpour.
McG 6969
Same here in BE, John. Since a short time - last week and this week - we had some days of quite violent very 'local downpours'. The same as those you are describing actually. Our meteo forecast for Silverstone shows a wet afternoon, possibly during Quali and indeed a dry Sunday afternoon. We'll see soon enough, I guess... McG 6969
Thanks once more, John. Very surprised about topping the table today. I knew my end result wasn't really 'great' today but I never expected all the scores of the Forumites being even lower.
