john davidson 1
Well done! Similar planform as my YF22 and similar roll rate too. Enjoy.
Eric Robson
With the predominant colour of the skies in England I would have used orange for the main colour 😀

Futura57
Here is my latest reconditioned bargain, a 54-inch span CAP232, I think. I'm not sure of the kit or manufacturer. It was in seriously shabby shape when I acquired it. I was purchasing an Ultimate bipeplane from a BMFA Classifieds advert. When he fetched it from a storage container full of other models, I casually asked if there was anything else he wanted to get rid of. He said I could have this for £20. It came with an Irvine 53, which needed a strip down and serious clean, and now runs perfectly. The pitts silencer is another bonus inclusion. The model also came with a decent Futaba receiver, which I passed on to someone, and five Futaba 3001 servos, one of which needed replacing. The flight battery was shot so I got one from my stash along with one of my Spektrum receivers. A few minor repairs were required after cleaning off the grease and grime. I patched up the cracked canopy and covered it in carbon fibre effect sticky-backed vinyl sheet. With some delicate heat gun work it stretched over the canopy in a single piece. I also covered the fibre glass undercarriage. I'm very pleased with the results. She is now quite presentable and is ready to fly. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07N3LSYWB?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title Edited May 26, 2024 by Futura57
Simon Chaddock
This my latest plane, a power conversion of a foamy chuck glider the Albatross FX707 . The mods include joining the wing halves permanently to make a still removable one piece wing. The fin and tail plane are permanent saving quite a few grams of tail weight by the deletion of plastic fitting and bolts. The motor mount and cowling are printed and it uses a 5x3 folding prop. The big flaps have two stages giving a wide speed range.. 1200mm span with 5 x 3.7g servos it weighs 354g with an 850mAh 3s on board. Not too bad considering the chuck glider weighed in at 268g with nothing. Flies nicely but not really worth all the effort in the conversion.

There must be loads of conversions that are in the same category but nobody says anything...... I've had a few models that really haven't been worth the effort of building or repairing: SFM Mini Tiger Moth Unknown manufacturer small DR1 HobbyKing Spacewalker Jamara Spacewalker Phase 3 Fidget Microaces SE5 - to be fair, this is due to my sausage fingers rather than anything inherently wrong with the model!
Steve Colman
My new addition. E-flite Cessna 150T bought second hand. I added the alternative smaller wheels and spats as I have enough models with large bush wheels and I think as shown the spats add a nice classic look to the model. A few minor issues needed to be fixed to make the model flight ready. Unfortunately it was way too windy for a maiden today so I took some pics, three of which I present here. Maiden will happen tomorrow morning if all goes well.

Torsten Spitzner
My latest project completed. Built on and off over the last few months, almost entirely out of whatever was at hand. R/c function are rudder, with the motor a simple on/off contact. Motive power is a small single LiFe cell. The plan was found on Aero Fred. The magazine article is in Czechoslovakian, so I had some fun with Google Translate but it's not too difficult to figure the plans out. Our winter rains have started, which causes a little pond to fill at our flying field ,hence I built something different... A short build video posted in the vintage section.

Outrunner
Nice little boat Torsten. I too build and sail boats as well as aeroplanes I find boats much more relaxing than aeroplanes but I will continue to enjoy both Have you tried a yacht? Don't leave your boat on the bookcase for too long, take it back to the pond!

David Ashby
A couple of recent projects, a Lidl glider of course and a Limit EX from the old RCME free plan. Maidens await both.
leccyflyer
You're bound to have fun with both - the Limit EX is crazy and fits in the rucksack really well, just to take a spare glider up the slope.

PDB
Been looking for a short notice, short session grab and go model that'll also fit in the car rigged. Settled on a Multiplex AcroMaster Pro which out of the box needed minimal trimming and is very nice to fly. One niggle is the 45 degree battery compartment hence no longitudinal movement of the battery is possible to set the CG. Tested a few lipos and found a HRB 3s 3300mah fitted perfectly and set the CG without any additional weight. The 50mm wheels are too small for our grass strip so these will be replaced with 75mm wheels.
