Done deal!

The Tangent Kult Elektro as I posted on page 200 is soon to be mine for only 400 euros for the model + flight battery.

I'm very happy to say the least.

Couple of new model maidens this weekend.

Firstly the lovely twin pusher Avro Vulcan, which was a surprise gift from my pal Jim last Monday and which had a couple of very enjoyable flights at the weekend - super stable but still aerobatic and lands like a dream the Vulcan is already a favourite.  My pal Steve snapped some piccies of the Vulcan in action, showing the fully predicable dip after a perfect hand launch by Bob and steady climb out, plus the unique camo scheme - she does desert missions at low level, inverted you know.... thanks Steve. 🙂

Then today my Warbirds Replicas FW190 Black 13, which is pictured in other threads - I'll pop up some flying pictures in the coming days.

That’s useful info on the Cub,  I was given an old one with 40ic engine, I have stripped it as it needed some minor repairs and will recover and electrify.  Old covering was a solar film type which has been horrendous to remove!  Yet to fly but previous owner said it flew well on the 40ic.

Very handy as mine is missing the alloy wing tubes, the manual in the link actually has the measurements for them, rather than just images and arrows

Durafly "Slow Poke", and thankfully it does fly slow.

I'm returning after a good many years of not flying so I need something to hone back the skills.

Maidened yesterday but initially very twitchy on both ailerons and elevator and had to dial in loads of rates down to 30%.

The model initially comes with the linkage connections in outer holes on the servo arms and control horns. I have now altered the servo linkage connections a lot nearer the servo centre.

There is no guidance in the instructions as to the amount of control surface movement.

Plenty of videos on YouTube showing its capabilities and something to aim for.

I picked up this beautiful beast a couple of weeks ago. I always wanted one but they were always to expensive but when a club mate offered this one at a great price I couldn't resist. Brand new but assembled. Never flown. I'm looking forward to getting it in the air 😃

Interesting story. A guy built this 40 plus years ago (Kit and engine was purchased in 1981. He built it, but never got flying also had a early Sanwa radio set.

It was flown last weekend at Don Valley, the guy just wanted to see it fly, and decided that it needs to be passed on. I bought it and removed the radio gear - which he took back (It actually still was ok -  new batteries and pass range test ok, just shows)

Going to put new servos in - which I have and 2.4 or course. Only thing that wasn't finished off was a pilots scarf (which was in the box) and the water slid decals had not been applied - to my amazement they didn't crack and went on well with warm soapy water (fuel proof to be done...)

It looks to be a slightly unusual setup. From the pics it looks as though it is 3 channel, no ailerons but it looks to have no dihedral. Wouldn't that make it very interesting to fly?

It does look good though.
