YT Stinson 108 Covering

Hi,

I have a YT Stinson 108 which, after an unforseen incident, requires some repairs to the covering, both the red colour and the cream.

It is difficult to find out exactly what the covering material is and what the actual colours are.

Does anybody know the answer to this, possibly having experienced the same problem?

I have asked YT but they do not appear to know and Troy Built Models in the US just know that it is not Oracover or Monokote.

Any help gratefully received

Hi, Just an update,

Yt were unable to help saying " try profilm mate". TBM the main distributor in the US said it is not monokote or profilm, however I found the website of the parent company ESM (Ever Soaring Models) to the manufacturers ( Ecom RC) and they have been very helpful, the end result being they are sending me a metre of each colour for the cost of the postage. SO I have paid this and, if it comes, that will rate as good customer service, certainly better than their UK distributor.

Hi,

The covering has arrived from China which is very good service from Ecom RC and I highly rate their customer service.

Unfortunately I am stuck in Tenerife as my wife has had an accident and we are waiting for an air ambulance to get her home, (not dangerous but no mobility) so I cant say that the correct colours have arrived but I assume they have and again I am impressed with the customer service.
