William Dunlop
Has anyone tried flying one of the 45cc Blackhorse Chipmunks on a 30 cc? I think I saw somewhere that they flew well on a 30cc, but this may be a figment of my imagination. Any info welcome.
Paul Hazelgrove
Yes mine has a DLA 32 and flies fine, half throttle most of the time.I think 45cc is over the top.
bert baker
Yep same story here with my one, It started of with a CRRC45 pro, have now changed it to a Zenoah G38 mag type. Still over top on power but great fun. Nice to fly an brilliant to land with the flaps down, make sure to program elevator compensation in with flaps. There was once one at the BMFA Nationals on a Laser 150. So go for it Bert
Jon H
30cc will be more than enough. These have flown on engines right down to 120 4 stroke. A guy I spoke to had 45cc in his and said it was so overpowered it was almost unflyable, and next to impossible to land. I sold him a laser 180 and he says its lovely to fly and 1/3 - 1/2 power is all it needs for scale flying
