Stuart Z
Hi Has anyone built one of these? I had a Modtech version many years ago and was wondering how this kit will be.
extra slim
Not built one, but a very pretty model. The guys on the ukaaa thread will no doubt chip in. Very jealous..looks lovely. What power setup are you thinking of?
john featherstone 1
had a couple of those sirocco models brought them in in the nineties, i used to fly for them at shows, duraflex fuzz and a half inch metal wing joiner witch used to bend in loops used to put it in the other way round to straighten them out, we even tried half inch one eight wallstainless and it still bent that if i had one now i would put wood across the fuz as im sure the fuz used to flex?? with wood across the fuz it would not tend to flex still have the wings in the loft i think, used a rossi 61 poweras they imported them also, nice model apart from the wing flex, that is if yours is a duraflex fuzz get the wood across
Stuart Z
Thanks both - useful feedback and points to watch for. The Modtech one was a wood fuss with foam coaming so not the same, not sure about the Aviomodelli. If I get one I' m planning on using an OS 61 RF so lots of power. I look forward to any other feedback. Models like this are a big commitment in time and money so keen to learn.
