Peter Garsden
I echo all that. I find that you only need about 70 degrees of flap and not much up aileron. About 4mm of down elevator. I always put the elevator trim on an adjustable circular knob so I can adjust it in mid air. Best way. I have a Futaba 14SG. It is a programming option in the Butterfly option. Steve Houghton
Thanks, both. Pete: I like the adjustable trim idea. I'll have to check whether my JR DSX-9 supports that. It has no rotary controls, but a few spare sliders. Something to dabble with after the Christmas Dinner, I think!
Peter Garsden
What a cracking idea Steve. Yes as soon as you have finished the plum pudding, just say to the family, I am just nipping up to the workshop to have a fiddle with my knob. That should silence them. This is an extract from my book by Malcolm Holt on the transmitter, which is brilliant for any Futaba 14SG user.
Steve Houghton
Thanks Pete, I think I'll just not say anything to the family! I know the JR DSX-9 has a Flap Trim adjuster, so maybe this will be my equivalent of the Futaba rotary.
