Scruffmeister
I'm going over the plans for the Curare 60 and Dirty Birdy with a view to putting one or the other in the build queue at some point. At this point I'm trying to identify suitable retracts and electric motor setup that I can redraw into my plans. I would be interested to hear what retracts and electric motor/prop/battery combos have worked well for models of this class/size for you? Thanks! Martyn K
I use JP Retracts on my Touche. They seem very reliable, only let down by the cheesy undercarriage legs which seem to bend at the slightest provocation.. Cant help on the powerplant questions sorry. Bob Cotsford
Same as Martyn, JP retracts though my legs seem ok . E-flite are ok, but can be sensitive to signal levels from the receiver in my experience. Not worth twice the price! I think I've got a HorizonHobby BL50 or Power 52 (something like that) motor in my Curare, 80A esc and 6S 4000 pack turning either 12*10 or 12*12 APC-E prop.
