Neil James
Recently I spotted some plastic mounts that you can clip a receiver into. They were shown on-line but were mostly out of stock and now I can’t remember which site I saw them on. Cant find anything suitable listed on eBay so does anyone here know where I might find them? Andy Meade
For any specific receiver Neil? FRSky ones here Edited By Andy Meade on 06/02/2020 14:12:
Neil James
For Graupner HoTT receivers. Some models I can just stick it in place with double sided tape but others make it difficult to access the servo sockets afterwards and I don’t like to use Velcro for the gyro receivers, too wobbly! I’ve knocked up a plywood cage for the current model but a ready to use mount would save time. John Lee
Here you go Neil, I came across them for my Jeti but they also do HoTT mounts
Neil James
Thanks John, I’ll get some of them. I’m sure they are the ones I saw on a UK website, if only I could remember where! The Banggood ones include an aerial mount which I don’t need so they are too large.
BackinBlack
Was it here: Nexus ?
Ron Gray
I’m now making these for my FrSky Rx
Neil James
Yes, now I know the company name I discovered it was on Nexus’ website: they still don’t have any in stock though which is a shame as the delivery charge from Germany is rather high. I’d wondered if anyone was using a 3D printer to make them. I don’t have one, but I know a man who does 😉. Is there a library of whatever files a 3D printer uses somewhere that might have these? Mike Bell
Take a look on thingiverse Neil. I'm pretty sure that there are files for indoor receiver clips on there, not sure about bigger ones though. www.thingiverse.com
Mike Bell
If you put the search term rx mount into thingiverse there seem to be some items of interest there
Neil James
Thanks Mike, not doing 3D printing I’d never seen that site and it’s full of interesting gadgets! Looks like I’ll have to buy myself one now 🤗.

robert chamberlain
I tried an experiment with "SHOE-GOO' , a product sold to help repair sneakers. I figured it might even help with vibration. WELL, if you use a dap of it to glue a servo to wood,--you will NEVER get it apart. Bob C
Brian Cooper
These 3D printed thingies look good. . . And there's me still stuck in the dark ages by using a strip of Velcro.
Chris Walby
Bob, The advantage of the 3D printed ones are that the RX's can be easily removed from their very well attached cradle. Velcro works for me apart from the giro RX where silicone sealer is a good solution or you get a very confused giro + I always have spare Velcro at the field, but not a 3D printer. Bit of a balance between how often you swap RX's between models I suppose. PS - slightly off topic but not much as I was warned and witnessed myself regarding cable ties or spiral cable wrap of servo cables right up to the RX - due to cable movement and lack of strain relief its possible for the loom cables to slowly work the servo plugs out of the RX with obvious and serve consequences
Frank Skilbeck
An alternative to regular velcro is the 3M Dual Lock tape, just don't use too much or you'll struggle to remove the Rx. For gyro receivers I usually use the foam tape that comes with them to stick them to a section of fibreboard and then screw that in position.
