playtime222
I spiraled in my Multiplex Magister with one of these in the nose and bust up the mounting plate about a year ago. I've made another out of ply but when I come to fit it to the plate, I had no idea what the screw types were. I have plenty of M3's but these seem too loose. It may be cos of the crash but this broke the mounting plate - I don't remember the screws being stripped. There's no details I can find on the AXI site. Anyone have a clue? Cheers. David Davis
I have one of these motors fitted to a double size Tomboy. Several months ago I bought a box of over 1000 socket bolts on eBay. Each bolt is either M2, M3,or M4. I used M3 bolts to secure the motor to the model. Maybe the threads in the motor casing have been damaged. John Lee
It's shown as 8 holes all M3 x 5mm and that's what I recall using on mine:
playtime222
Thanks guys. I'll stick with M3s. On with the resurrection. Half a bottle of thick cyano for various dings and a wing mount to repair still to go. Almost gave up today but I don't want to spend 300quid on a new trainer when I'm almost grown out of it.
