If it’s just the sleeve/housing/shell you are after I can 3D print some for you.

hmm, that's an interesting thought.  I'm not terribly up on 3D printing - how dimensionally accurate are the prints?  I'm thinking about how to get a snug, but not too snug, slight interference fit on the plugs inside the sleeve.

The ones I have already made are a nice fit on the servo plugs and they also have the little nib on the inside that clicks into the plugs, difficult to show in photos but here are some

that looks good - the photos show it just fine.  someone posted a link further up the thread to 3-pin plug sleeves, but I would definitely be interested if you could make a 4-pin version.  ?

Yes, a Y lead with 2 sockets in one housing. but I suppose a Y lead with two separate sockets would also work as they would all be connected together.  In one housing it's neater and presumably you could just cut off the lead with plug if you didn't need it.

understood, but I'm not looking to merge/split conductors.  3-pin stuff is easy enough to do - I can chop up servo extensions or use a 3-pin sleeve (bottom):

the issue really is the 4-pin stuff which is typically not servos - eg 4-pin Rx, VTx, GPS - or 2-pin - eg I2C - although it's easy enough to use 3-pin for 2-pin.

I understand they are described as "Connector Housing 4 way 2.54 mm".

Available here but not cheap at £5.87 for 10.

thanks Simon, but that's not a dupont connector - the pitch is the same but they appear to be rather beefier.  the socket side of the 4-way connector for that plug looks like this:
