Capt Kremen
Checking my documents were up to date, discovered CAA had just recently published this dated August 2021 (except un-proof read pages in CH8 & 9 - see bottom left of pages!!!!) : CAP 722F Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operations - Model Aircraft Operations Policy and Guidance https://publicapps.caa.co.uk/modalapplication.aspx?appid=11&mode=detail&id=10792
Capt Kremen
Incidentally, if you are interested the previous CAA Publication: 'CAP658 Model Aircraft A Guide To Safe Flying' was withdrawn in January 2021. Capt Kremen
Also ... At time of writing ONLY 552 views of this announcement, (and possible viewing of the new document?), out of the whole total BMFA membership had been made on the BMFA News page itself. Dickw
Having read through CAP722F it seems to me that BMFA members only need to be aware of the BMFA's Article 16 Authorisation and fly according to the that document. CAP722F mentions Article 16 Authorisations in relation to members of modelling organisations and explains how they are relevant. It is those who are not members of the BMFA (and a few other organisations) who need to read CAP722F. Perhaps that is one reason why so few BMFA members have bothered to read it and why the BMFA has not pushed it. it can be an interesting read if you interested in to the legalities of what we do.
