Peter Miller
it is so satisfying when it is finished and people can see how much work and care one has taken. One reason that I built Destiny.

Peter Miller
In fact Destiny is no harder to build than Rhapsody really. There is just a lot more building but BOY!! is it worth it.
EarlyBird
I will build Destiny and I am looking forward to the fun. Meanwhile a busy satisfying day for me. Finish left aileron tomorrow?
Trevor
You claimed satisfaction too early - there's an unsanded gusset in the left elevator! ?
Peter Miller
Ah!! I can tell you the reason for that. If you buy antique furniture, usually the cottage type and sort of 17th century you will often find that in a regular pattern such as drawer fronts there will be one corner of a drawer that is different. This was to keep off evil spirits.!!! FACT

EarlyBird
Done ? and started this ? More practice on this today, getting ready for the wing gussets.
EarlyBird
All the triangles are in and started shaping. waiting for glue to dry.
EarlyBird
Having practiced on the little tail end bits It's time for the wings. First a bit more practice on the right hand rib which worked so fitted triangles to the other ribs.
EarlyBird
Then sanded to shape. Next the aileron and TE gussets.
EarlyBird
Gussets fitted and shaped. and a close up I like this detail which was the appeal right from seeing Peter's photos and consequently me pressing the buy button. Also makes an interesting build. More work on the wings today, I must finish the wing tips. ?

Peter Miller
Mine is about 40 years old so I would guess that my model number would not apply. However I would also suggest that the age indicates the long livety is extremely good
