Steve Colman
Need some help with a very simple question which I can't find an answer for. I'm thinking of buying an E-Flite model which comes with a Spektrum AR637TA Rx in the BNF version. The Rx has Spektrum "SAFE" and AS3X. I'm happy with using AS3X but don't wish to use the safe mode which would apparenty leave channel 5 free. My question is: Would this allow me to use Ch 5 for an exrta servo to provide an additional function, or is it not quite this simple? The TX will be a DX8 or DX9 Many thanks. Denis Watkins
Yes you can use it But is a default switch channel So is on/off, up/ down, as flaps Just double check your AS3X on/ off is on channel 6, leaving 5 free Edited September 26, 2021 by Denis Watkins
Steve Colman
Many thanks Denis. I want to use channel 5 to control a servo to open/close a door so it looks like I'm good to go.
BackinBlack
The AR637TA can be reprogrammed as a 637T, see here: AR637TA Programming

If I can use channel 5 for a servo I'll be happy.
