carlos rangel
I’m hoping for that finish and colors, that was the prototype powered by a Leonides radial engine.

Again, is my plan to have working leading edge slats and flaps. Very interested to see how you are going to do this part of the build. I struggled with my slats fitted to the 1/4 scale Tiger Moth I am building but patience, help from the full size and plenty of head scratching did it in the end. Fantastic detail you model has already, good job

Are the slats in the tiger moth fixed, or movable ?

Just like the full scale, they are spring loaded to ‘pop out’ but then can be held back in the locked position when required. RichT slats Link to my log as to chat I have done. carlos rangel
Hello Gents!! Because of work travel I have not posted much these days , but I will say that I have acquired a zenoah 62 and the Mike Reevs reduction drive. This unit including the engine will perfectly fit inside the Pioneer cowling, and btw, have any of you used these units?
carlos rangel
Zenoah engines seem to be difficult to get, in fact Toni Clark said these engines are being sold to the UAV community. I was able to find a brand new engine for only 300 US dollars in eBay.
carlos rangel
It would have been great to get a 150cc radial engine for the Pioneer but I chose Zenoah economical reliability over temperamental expensive engines..
