SIMON CRAGG
I have been thinking about fitting some sort of whistle to one of my EDF Jets. Many moons ago they used to be advertised...................but no more. Anybody any idea where I could get one please?. Tried making a "Nerf" type whistle...................dismal failure!. Ron Gray
Warbirds Replicas used to sell them.
leccyflyer
My PMP BAe Hawk is fitted with a pair of simple metal whistles set into the wing, close to the tips. They aren't obtrusively loud, but they do work on the slope. They are just like the ones that Richard sells - perhaps he can advise? http://www.warbirdreplicas.co.uk/Air-Whistle/33.htm
Capt Kremen
Have look at the Whistling (Foam?) Toy Rocket/Footballs on ebay & Amazon. They feature the surface mount whistle. There are a few cheap ones among the eye watering expensive ones being offered! When permitted, I have dropped these from a model and they really do whistle quite audibly. Not sure they match a jet sound though????
Brian Cooper
It's fun to have a servo operated blocker to stop the air getting into the whistle(s). Then it can be turned on and off via a spare channel.
Jake Bullit
Been using these 3d printed whistles on a couple of models for a while now.Need to get the placement right ,but they sound cool.A few of the lads at our club have since followed suit. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4591854
Engine Doctor
I have one fitted to my Habu . They were cast in a light alloy with a rubber end that could be moved to alter the tone of the whistle. It only works at certain speeds though ie upper mid range . To be honest they did sound that good and become annoying. I did have another one somewhere in my workshop, if I find it I will let You know and you can have it. E.D.

Jake Bullit
A bit of video here. Not good quality though as its been re-downloaded,also was a windy day so the wind noise is blocking the sound as well as the noise from a noisy wing.Sounds best when diving ,motor off. J D 8
I once tried the squawker's from some old Vuvuzela's on a model, they did not work. Perhaps just as well.

SIMON CRAGG
Thanks chaps. I am holding out that ED can find one in his workshop!. Failing that, I'll have to trawl marketplace and see if I can find a cheepo "Nerf dog howler" and remove the relevant bits. Odd that they do not seem to be sold individually by people like Banggood etc!.

SIMON CRAGG
I would not recognise anything 3D if it hit me on the head! Luckily Kevin has been kind enough to make me a few, for which I am very grateful.
