Edgeflyer
I have a jittery aileron servo on my Carbon Z Cub ss The servo is a digital 26g metal gear type EFLR7145. 4.68kgcm at 4.8v They seem pricey. Is it worth looking at alternatives? Any advice please?
Frank Skilbeck
Yes, but if you go for an alternate then it would be best to replace them both so you have a matched pair. The specs of the E-Flite servo are nothing special, But if this a gyro stabilised receiver then a digital servo would be recommended as the servo refresh rate from the receiver could be too high for an analogue servo. Maybe something like this https://www.4-max.co.uk/servo-4max-4M-556DMG-087.html

Nigel R
Frank, you've linked a very large servo there. Looking through 4max list, I cannot see an equivalent 4max branded servo (26g, digital) ? Phil B - I cannot actually see anything cheaper, for a 26g digital, either at 4max or servoshop... Given that you only need one, I would suggest the EFlite again. Myself, I would actually first of all, open up the existing servo and clean the pot; I appreciate you may not be happy doing that though. Edgeflyer
Thanks that's a good suggestion. I tried the servo on a tester and it seemed normal so I'm a bit confused.
GrumpyGnome
Is it on a Y or extension lead? If so, test it with that.... I've had a few issues with Y leads.....
