I need to buy a few new receivers and was looking at the AR620, does anyone know if this will work with a gen 1 DX8? I have been on the Spektrum website and found this, it seems to suggest the rx will work in PWM mode but not allow any of the telemetry etc which is not a bother to me, what is PWM ? https://www.spektrumrc.com/ProdInfo/Files/SmartESC-Compatibility-EN.pdf

Yes it is backwards compatible to your Tx’s DSM2 protocol. This user guide is a better document for the specifications.

PWM = I believe this stands for Pulse Width Modulation, the standard Rx output to a servo/ESC, rather than Spektrum’s SMART throttle signal to their SMART ESC’s
